After switching from Adidas to Nike, Nike launched Kobe Bryant’s first signature shoe, the Nike Air Zoom Kobe 1 (I) in 2006. The shoes went on sale nationwide on February 10th, 2006, along with Kobe’s signature clothing line. The Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 and 2K5 were ultimately made especially for Kobe, but a black edition of the 2K5 was the first ever to feature Kobe’s own logo with Nike.

However, the Nike Air Zoom Kobe I (1) were the official shoes for Kobe and were worn during the the 2006 playoffs. Many of the color-ways were model after team colors and the teams Kobe was involved with, including Los Angles Lakers and USA Basketball inspired Kobe I’s. One of the most interesting things about this shoe is that it was featured in a collaboration with well known Nike collaborator and graffiti artist, Stash.
