On March 21, House of Hoops plans to release a limited edition colorway of the Nike Delta Force Mid to honor former Detroit Piston Vinnie Johnson. Johnson was nicknamed “The Microwave” for his uncanny ability to switch on the heat at a moment’s notice and drain shots coming cold off the bench. This iteration of the Delta Force Mid is microwave themed from its industrial silver coloring throughout the upper, to its LCD-display Nike logo and a numerical input panel printed on the insole. Overall, this is a very unique shoe that tells a great story.
