Poll a bunch of sneaker fans (like myself) on their favorite sneaker of all time, and we promise you’ll get the OG Nike Air Foamposite One as an answer PLENTY of times. Of course, there is still much love going to the Nike Air Foamposite One silhouette- as evidenced by the “Eggplant” and “Copper” hysteria. However, at least part of why we love the OG Nike Air Foamposite One is the classic Orlando Magic colorway it came draped in: royal blue/black.

Apparently, Nike had at some point planned to pay continued homage to Anfernee Hardaway in his original NBA team’s colors, but with a different sneaker completely. Pictured here is a sample pair of a Nike Air Max 95 “Air Penny” that never saw an official release. Nevertheless, you can check out more pictures of this sample after the jump. It comes in the aforementioned royal blue and black, along with white and grey as well. Furthermore, you will also find the famous Lil’ Penny character printed on the insole. Eat your hearts out, Nike Air Max/Penny fans.
