On March 26th, 1987 Tinker Hatfield and Nike introduced the Air Max 1, a shoe that revolutionized the running game. 27 years later, a special Nike Air Max 1 will commemorate the original release.
Using the original colors of the Air Max 1, Nike has gave it a vintage look by yellowing the midsole and treating the uppers to an off-white.
A mixture of mesh, leather and synthetic materials are used. Red is nicely placed throughout the upper on top of what appears to be 3M. We also have “3/26” on the tongue paying tribute to the OG release.
As far as how limited the ‘3/26’ Nike Air Max 1 is unknown. We are sure the release date is March 26th but make sure to check back with Sneaker Files for retail price.
