Nike Air Force 1 Mike Krzyewski Coach K 800th Win

Mike Krzyewski aka Coach K, has joined with other elite coaches for the 800th Win column on March 1st. To show appreciation and gratitude, Chi McBride and “JB” from Nike’s Innovative Kitchen were approached by Eric Lautenbach head of Nike college basketball, to design a special 1 of 1 Nike Air Force 1 for Coach K and his 800th win.

When the brain storming and creation was done, we have a beautiful pair of Nike Air Force 1 for Coach K featuring a flannel upper, and brass eyelets. They had “Duke” written with suede inserted between the upper leather and pushed through a cutout in the white coach leather.

Chi McBride, JB, and Eric Lautenbach also put together a wooden box which actually comes from old basketball floor boards. The names of Coach K’s parents, brother, wife and three daughters are lasered onto the box. Via Rockdeep at nt.

  1. That´s not just a pair of shoes, this is a piece of Art !!! It looks awesome. A tribute to one of the best and most talented coaches of All-Time. Much respect !!! The box is looking so great !!! bruno1978.

  2. I HATE DUKE – George Mason & Maryland ALL DAY!! But my god those are gorgeous. The dumb ppl that don't get design and concept art are just stupid. The Cutout, 'felt, and stitching are made to look like a varsity sport style. Almost like a retro varsity jacket. The box is simply beautiful too. For the Dummys – Ceck out the NIKE sb Reed or Lundys, both 1 of 1.

  3. dey need 2 come out wit some southern cal trojans air forces dem would be hard loc

  4. I don't know if anybody noticed the felt cutout is gray like the gray coats that are worn by West Point cadets, and also there is a rank stitched into the tongue. As you may know Coach K played for the great Bobby Knight at West Point, and has stated many times that Coach Knight is the reason he is a successful coach…. little f.y.i.

not a huge fan of Duke but the respect to create an artful shoe is made tight

  5. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! THATS MUTHAFUCKIN DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Y N HELL WOULD U MAKE A TRIBUTE THAT LIL DUMBASS RATFACE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! SHIT IF THEY GONNA MAKE A TRIBUTE MAKE IT 2 THE DEAN AKA THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!!! DUKE SUX CAROLINA 4EVER BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. THEM GO. I DON’T GIVE A FUCK. I LOVE SHOES AND THESE R THE SHIT. AND THE IS ONE OF THE BEST BOXES I HAVE SEEN.

  7. its sad that so many of you are so immature and use this section to post your own insecurities while hiding behind these stupid screen names….. the shoes, story as well as the creation process is what should be spoken about here….not my school is better than yours…. and as you all know, i ain't hiding behind any dumb screen names here….. the shoes are dope, the box is incredible and the tribute is well worth it….

  8. This shoe wasn't made for a release. It was made to commemorate one of the greatest coaches of our time. Everything about this shoe has something to do with Coach K's journey. From being a player, to being an outstanding coach. Using the used court for the box was bananas. Only if I could own this shoe. Not as a shoe collector but as a Duke fan and most importantly a Coach K fan. No matter what team you like, you have to respect this man as a Coach.

  9. The concept of the shoe is hard. but the shoe it self is not thet great. the box is a nice addition.
