LeBron James and Dwyane Wade Honor Trayvon Martin

For yesterday’s matchup with the Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat stars LeBron James and Dwyane Wade paid homage to slain teen Trayvon Martin.

With Wade debuting his new Jordan Fly Wade Flight PO, the two stars took the court with both “Trayvon Martin” and “We Want Justice” written on their sneakers.

The Heat beat the Pistons by a score of 88-73 and take on Kevin Durant and the Thunder on Sunday afternoon.

  1. Ive been monitoring this post since it was posted and its sad to say that 2 days after it was, I am the 1st person to make a comment on here. SMH at people whose opinions on whats wrong with the world is limited to people who purchase shoes for the sole purpose of reselling them. Sneakerfiles gives you a forum to discuss something that actually matters and this community as a whole has remained silent. How many of us have left the house dressed just like Trayvon Martin? I hope that we all realize that this could have been us, and we need to let the world know that this type of thing isnt ok

  2. Understood but not responding to this post doesn’t mean we havent acknowledged the situation, it just means this is a sneaker forum. Not a political forum. Kinda goes hand in hand with the president handling civil rights cases when his job is to deal with how the country is run, thats what our community leaders are for.
