Converse has been a staple in the footwear culture and casual sneaker community, with sneakers like the classic Converse Chuck Taylor. Imagine, however, combining the designs cues of the classic into something with a bit of outdoor performance. We can all imagine no further as we preview the Converse Mountain Club High. This high top takes the Chuck Taylor and beefs it up to withstand the elements on the trails.
This sneaker comes equipped with reinforced toe-box, tougher midsole and an outsole with a bit of traction for the rough terrain. Along with a durable canvas upper and heel cup for additional support, you have yourself a decent hiking boot that doubles as a sneaker for everyday, casual wear. It’s available in 3 colorways from purple/black, black/orange and tan/black/red. No word yet on a US release date, but they are available through Converse.jp.
