Vans is putting together quite a collection for release this fall of 2009. Straight from the Spring 2010 Vault collection, pictures of two inventive models of the Authentic have made their way onto the web. Class meets classic as the timeless sneaker appears to feature an all leather upper under standard white laces. In both Brown and Violet, the colorways bring a subtle element of formality I’ve never seen from any other leather Vans model. Slated to release in February of next year, I can’t wait to see more pictures.

Lately, Vans has been reaching into its extensive archives for inspiration and the occasional re-issue. Earlier this summer, we previewed the Fall 2009 collection known as the “Off The Wall Pack,” which is an impressive package of re-issues from some of the company’s earliest sneakers. The pack includes  Slip-Ons, Eras, Old Skool ’77s and Mid Skool ’77s in suede/canvas combos and vibrant colorways that were popular back in the day, such as the Classic Blue/Gold Slip-Ons, Gold/Green Old Skools, and Blue/White Mid Skools. No detail was left out, including a retro treatment on the box design – as you can see. Of course, all of the sneakers feature the Vans patented waffle soles. Vans Vault has stepped up its game for the Vans Sk8 Mid by releasing the model in calfskin. The fudge/fuschia Mid features a calfskin leather upper in fudge, along with a black midsole and fuschia inner lining. Not only is the upper a nice change, but the inner lining as well, which sports an all-over Vans logo design of which the idea of the color is reminiscent of that in the Nike Dunk SB Low Gibson.  These shoes goes for $125 online and are available now.

The last time Vans teamed up with Taka Hayashi, the pair made the “Triple Crown of Surfing” Pack. Once again, the two have created magic with the Taka Hayashi x Vans No Quarter LX in a black/rich gold colorway. This black leather upper hightop is nicely contrasted by an off-white midsole, and features ankle belt straps and fine embroidery. The creative pair definitely paid attention to this shoe, adding on a sizzled pattern on the side panel and other knick-knacks that you’ll definitely find interesting. Vans is providing quite the line up for this year’s Fall 2009 collection. On top of the handful of CA 46 colorways we mentioned yesterday, come fall they plan on releasing a set of Chukka Lows,  kin to the familiar Vans Chukka Boot. Using a relatively simple color pallet, Vans continues to build on their reputation of providing that comfortably classic feel in a variety of different packages.  In particular, the navy and white horizontal stripe colorway brings something out of me — and I don’t just mean my wallet.
