Seems like the sneaker companies are picking up on the Patchwork material. First we had some Nike’s using patchwork, and now two pairs of Vans. A little different, but different is good.
A preview of the Vans Vault Spring ‘08 Collection displays the new “Color Theory” theme which provides a wide array of colors and textures that are inspired by art and the skateboarding/surfing lifestyle.
The Vans Holiday 2007 – 2008 models are hitting retailers, mainly in Japan. Some of the Vans in the Holiday Releases is the Half Cabs, Eras, TNT II, J-Lay and No Skool 2 Mid. Check your local Vans dealership for their shipments. Via ABC-Mart.
Another Vans Chukka has surfaced, with this pair different from past releases. This is the Chukka LX, which features a solid White midsole, and a woven upper with multiple colors of Blue. Retail price is $80. Via Complex.
Grime who is known for a tattooist, and artist hooked up with Vans to deliver us a Slip-On and a Half Cab. Both the Vans Slip-On and Half Cab feature a White/Black base with details done by the artist Grime.
The people over at Vans are always looking and thinking of different designs, and sometimes the little things can give you big inspirations. Using the widely famous Slip-Ons, Vans will release some sneakers that features a Monkey eating a Banana.
Vans is expected to release another collaboration with a fashion icon, just like with Marc Jacobs. This time it will be with Paul Smith. The Liner of the Vans will feature Paul Smith’s trademark multicolored stripes.
