A Closer Look: CP3's Air Jordan XX3 Away

With the second installment of his signature ride, the CP3 2.0, waiting in the wings, New Orleans Hornets point God Chris Paul has been sporting exclusive variations of the luxurious Air Jordan XX3 (23). In short, Paul couldn’t be in a more enviable position. And to coincide with the NBA’s asinine, “51% of the sneaker must match the player’s jersey,” rule, the talented crew over at Jordan Brand manufactured this delicious black/teal version of MJ’s 23rd signature. (Cats in the sneaker industry don’t view the “51%” rule as a law; rather, it’s a challenge to combine the sickest flavors into a playable package!) CP’s “Away” pair features a teal ankle collar, TPU support wrap, and stitch pattern. His creative logo is colored up in white, and sits across the middle of the aforemenetioned collar. If you want a pair, you’re probably not in luck. Chris auctioned these off through his charity a couple of weeks ago–the winning bid finished off at more than $3000! Images via crownt33

Catch This: Dre Bly's Air Jordan III (3)

Denver Broncos defensive back Dre Bly finished the 2008 NFL season on a sour note last Sunday, as the Broncs were derailed 52-21 in sunny San Diego. The 5′10 corner completed the year with 62 tackles and 2 interceptions all in exclusive Jordan Brand product. In week fourteen against the Kansas City Chiefs, “Dre-Dre” sported this understated white/white/elephant cleated version of the Air Jordan III (3). The model offers up a “Broncos blue” inner lining and his initials, D and B, along the tongue. (Interestingly enough, Bly’s initials also stand for his position on the turf, a staunch defensive back in Denver’s 3-4/Nickel system.) Images via NikeTalk’s kumax95.

Air Jordan Force Fusion VI (6) - Stealth / Varsity Red - Light Graphite - White

The Air Jordan Force Fusion VI will make its debut in 2009 and we now have a detailed look at a new colorway. Featuring an upper composed mostly of grey suede, this colorway is extremely simple and basic. The only non grey aspects of this sneaker are the white laces, navy midsole, black swoosh, white outsole, and a few red accents seen across the upper of the sneaker. These red accents may be seen on the tongue in the form of a jumpman and inner lining and on the heel in the form of a jumpman as well. This all grey colorway immediately reminds us of many Air Jordan models fully coated in grey such as the latest Air Jordan “Cool Grey” Spizike. Cool grey colorways are usually a huge hit amongst sneakerheads, but only time will tell if this colorway will continue the tradition. Via Sole-Locker.

Nike Dunk SB Low - Halo / Zitron

In January of 2009, Nike will be releasing their most popular model, the Nike Dunk SB, in a halo/zitron colorway. Though the name of the colorway may sound foreign to most sneakerheads, the colors used on the sneaker definitely are not. Even with the colorway yielding a light brown upper accented by a yellow swoosh and a cream midsole, this pair features a far from simple color scheme. The complexity of this colorway is exhibited through the use of bright blue and green leather on the rear and the front of the sneaker, respectively. The gum midsole finishes off this colorway and gives it a nice, clean look. These will be released in limited quantities as part of Nike SB’s January collection and you can pre-order your pair today at Kix-Files.
