News of the Nike Dunk High SB Heaven’s Gate Sample getting scrapped broke weeks ago, however a similar Dunk High SB has surfaced and could serve as an alternative when it releases next year. This version is reminiscent of the Heaven’s Gate model and is made up of a purple, black, white and what appears to be obsidian. However, the shade of purple used on this Dunk High is brighter than the Heaven’s Gate and stands out against the black and obsidian. Nike SB has turned to skateboarding products in the past for inspiration, but have recently featured the likes of superheroes, villains and now workwear. This sneaker is dubbed “Workwear” for its composition of beige, black, grey, red and yellow in reference to traditional work clothes. In addition, the Dunk SB Mid Premium sport an interesting combination of materials that includes a black suede toe and lacing area. Though there have been multiple previews indicating new packages of the Air Jordan I (1) Retro High, there are other releases of the classic model that may fly under the radar in 2009 and here’s a reminder of the first of many. This Air Jordan I (1) displayed an unfamiliar look for the sneaker which consists of a blue sapphire upper with neon turquoise and a white midsole. The design offer a fresh new take on Air Jordan I (1) Retro High which is traditionally not made up of this type of combination, but could only be a glance of what’s to come.  The Air Jordan Melo M5 was first introduced as the ideal basketball sneaker and since then a full array of colorways developed in 2008. 2009 will result in more color choices including the white, metallic silver, university blue and taxi Melo M5 pictured above. The sneakers sport colors more along the lines of the Denver Nuggets as they look to make their mark in the Western Conference. Jordan Brand will be kicking off the new year with a few new releases which includes this Air Jordan Melo M5. Caremlo Anthony’s Melo M5 sports a simple combination of black, metallic silver and white reminiscent of the San Antonio Spurs colors in comparison to other models. Black is found on the majority of the sneaker with white surrounding it and metallic silver accents. A perfect addition to any Melo M5 fan’s collection for 2009. Already an early MVP candidate, New Orleans Hornets guard Chris Paul is off to a phenomenal year racking up stats in bunches. Paul has been gracious on the court and so has Jordan Brand by creating different player exclusive models for Paul to wear, mainly the Air Jordan XX3 (23). CP3’s away XX3 has appeared on both the Hornets star’s feet and online. The away model features black with teal, conforming to the colors of the road jersey. Since debuting the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4), Kobe Bryant’s newest sneaker has featured interesting concepts and themes ranging from high school player exclusives to villain look alikes, but this model is expected to be seen on the feet of number 24. The sneakers are modeled after the Los Angeles Lakers’ MPLS throwback jersey, a color combination often seen in the Zoom Kobe series. Made up of the traditional blue, grey and white, the Zoom Kobe IV is treated with Kobe’s logo on the tongue in purple and checkered laces.
