Asics has had quite a year with a few exceptional releases including collaborating with a few companies on their Gel Lyte III. Although there aren’t any GL III in this post, the Spring/Summer ‘08 collection looks very promising. Featured is are classic Pro Court models and the Top Seven. It has been only a short time since detailed photos of the Cool Grey Air Jordan Spizikes surfaced the internet. Now, it has been reported that Nike Europe has a few sizes left in limited quantities.

Unfortunately, there is no word when or if these Spizike’s are scheduled to release in the United States. It is quite rare to see a European exclusive Air Jordan release, however anything is possible with the Jordan Brand. Keep checking back with us for further updates on its release. In more New Balance news, the A09 for A22 pack are the latest releases from the Spring/Summer collection and have just been released. The pack consists of three subtle colors; black, dark olive and natural.

Each A09 features a one-piece hemp canvas upper along with beadwork on the laces. In addition, the “N” logo appears in a painted on look which adds a little flair to the sneaker. Furthermore, it has been reported that the three of these sneakers will be limited to Japan, but are available now at Mita Sneakers.

Adidas‘ latest Consortium collection has been serving up great classics re-invented and modified with flashy color-ways and premium materials. Seen above is the “Reflective Dots” ZX500 which features black premium leather and suede accented by reflective silver polka dots seen all along the upper. Here’s a look at two more of New Balances from their Spring/Summer ‘08 collection. The theme surrounding these two M574’s is one similar to a recent Nike package. Both sneakers feature a Native American inspired design consisting of a woven pattern seen on the toe box and at the ankle support area. Converse and Utah Jazz Small Forward Kyle Korver have just announced the MyChucks contest, which gives participants the chance to design a Chuck Taylor All Star and win the grand prize of having their personalized Converse All Star exclusively sold by Eastbay. The MyChucks contests is a great way for contestants to demonstrate their talents and skill by applying to Converse’s All Star.

Furthermore, Kyle Korver designed his very own All Star that is currently on the MyChucks web site and there is also a video to accompany the shoe. His All Star features various items that are significant to Korver and his life. In addition, Converse will only produce 226 pairs of the shoe, referring to Korver’s jersey number 26. The proceeds will be donated to the Kyle Korver Foundation. You can enter the contest now by browsing over to mychucks.eastbay.com, where a download kit may be retrieved along with contest instructions. However, designers must submit a scanned image of their design and a 20-30 second video that explains their All Star.

The All Stars will be hosted on the website and votes will be tallied to see which is the most popular. The top five designs that recieve the most votes will go through a final round of judging and will be judged on artistic ability, creative expression and overall design. Converse and Eastbay will announce the Grand Prize winner on July 11th, 2008 on mychucks.eastbay.com. The Grand Prizer winner will be flown to the Converse headquarters, where he/she will work with designers and others to re-create their shoe. The final version of the shoe will then be produced and sold on Eastbay.com in January 2009.

Adidas is finally dropping one of their hottest shoes yet. Part of their Consortium series, the Superskate Street features the renowned slim profile and features an array of vivid colors on the side panel. Adidas’ collection of Consortium sneakers have been quite eclectic and demonstrates their true creativity. The Superskate Street is available now at Hangtime, but keep your eyes peeled for them when they drop at the rest of the Adidas Consortium retailers.
