Conceptualized using an Air Force MA-1 flight jacket, the Poorman’s Weapon is the base of the latest collaboration involving Undefeated and Converse. Consisting of removable Velcro patches, the collab sneaker also features black nylon flight satin and a bright orange canvas interior to give it that ultimate fighter pilot look. Aside from the pilot theme, other highlights include a Chuck Taylor outer sole with an original Weapon upper with waxes laces. However, a vulcanized Undefeated logo appears near the front of the sneaker as does a in-sole logo. Stay posted for a release date. Via Vapors.
Shortly after the announcement of the Solebox and Saucony collaboration, comes yet another project involving Saucony, however this time around a pack is designed around the Courageous TR with Boston based boutique, Bodega. The pack utilizes the Courageous, a cross country shoe from the early ’90s in there variations. The Courageous TR is seen in three unique color-ways consisting of reflective 3M, ballistic nylon, and premium materials. Via Vapors.
The Sneaker Addicts DVD has not been discussed very much since its teaser was first reported last November, however they were at Soho’s latest sneaker store, Global NYC. In the video above, Global NYC’s inventory is discussed by Ishmail and Sunny who talk about the store’s wide variety of sneaker brands including high fashion brands from Europe including Gucci and Prada to their more affordable styles of Nikes and Air Jordans. Furthermore, Global NYC isn’t just a sneaker store, they do also offer a few other brands that might not be found in your local store including Gold Coin and some European clothing brands. The House of Hoops by Footlocker has aired a new commercial featuring premier NBA athletes including Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudamire and Lebron James. The new T.V spot takes place on a pier with in several different locations ultimately ending at the basketball court of course. It has been rumored that this could be the potential sign of a new House of Hoops being built somewhere, perhaps on the West Coast, we can only hope.
From one coast to another, Sidana’s is a upscale boutique that offers a wide variety of sneakers to the residents of Long Island. Described as the Taj Mahal of sneakers, Sidana’s is quickly becoming the store of choice for sneaker heads and even Chris Vidal. It is operated by Amar Singh, a sneaker afficionado who has been in the business for quite sometime and runs 4 stores in the Queens and Long Island area. Currently Sidana’s among the top sneaker shops as they get all the quickstrike models, Air Jordans, Dunks, and Air Force 1’s. Located in the artist district in downtown Santa Ana, CA, AVNT/GRDE also known as Avant Garde, is one of the newest stores to open up in Southern California. Initially opening on August 2nd, Avant Garde is a quaint little shop that has a lot to offer.
From The Hundreds, Stussy, chocolate, and In4mation are just a few names on their long list brands that are carried. The store fuses streetwear and a skate making it a skate concept shop, the best of both worlds can be found here. However, its the nice little things that distinguish the store from others including unique decor and a memorable Michael Jordan displaying featuring a painting of his Airness and a pair of original Air Jordan 1’s that can be spotted in the painting.
Although they are not selling any shoes at the moment, they will be in a few weeks as they get settled in after being opened for only a few weeks. If you are in the Southern California area, be sure to drop by Avant Garde and say what’s to store owners, Jabar, Gio, and Iggy. Big ups to Jabar, Gio, Iggy and Jomo for the opportunity.

Have you ever seen so much heat in a suburban shop that has only been open for a week?
AJ and his brother Ali, came up with an idea to open a sneaker boutique where none can be found within 50 miles. AJ created Sole Addiction to share the sneaker culture with Morton Grove, a suburb to the north of Chicago; bringing exclusive heat without so much rape in the price.
AJ said, “We wanted to bring heat to the ‘burbs. Something that people haven’t seen around here, because we’re the closest store in the ‘burbs to inner city boutiques. We carry anything from SB’s, Jordans, Air Force 1’s, Air Maxes, Converse and [there are] a lot of other new products that we plan on carrying in the future.”
While most boutiques start up with general releases for display, Sole Addiction has already begun the heat wave by carrying infamously hard-to-get kicks such as De La Lows, 2001 Jordan 1’s, OG Jordans, Premium and Supreme Air Forces and a lot more!
