With the announcement of their Urban Mobility pack this past August, people have been long awaiting a preview of Puma’s technologically innovative efforts. Of particular concern to us sneakerheads are the images of two high-top models that hit the web earlier this week. Featuring grey-black futuristic color schemes, both models incorporate the use of suede, while the model that resembles the Puma First Round throws patent leather and canvas into the mix. Designed by noted fashion designer Hussein Chalayan, Puma’s Urban Mobility pack is scheduled to release in the Spring/Summer of 2010.

As unhealthy as it might be, soda is something most people try during their lifetimes and come to enjoy to some extent. Therefore, it should come as no surprise, especially to sneakerheads, that certain shoe brands draw inspiration from the soft drink. Last Christmas we caught a glimpse of a Nike Lebron Soldier II inspired by the famous Sprite can colors. Now, Puma has chosen its Basket II silhouette as a means of running with the soda idea. Pictured here are four pairs of the Puma Basket II, one each representing the colors on cans of soda of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Fanta, and A&W Root Beer. These have become available now through select retailers. Check out more pix after the jump.

The Puma brand is going so hard this season with what is almost hands-down its most famous silhouette to date- the Clyde. Puma recently prepared two very nice color executions in suede grey and suede royal blue that the company hopes will “bring back” some of its fan base’s attention. Now, the brand moves away from suede and experiments with patent leather on two more Puma Clydes. One pair fades from white patent leather to black patent leather as you move from the toe box to the heel. The second pair actually goes from black to gold. How do you feel these shoes compare to the suede executions Puma is so well-known for? Did the company strike gold with these two new Clyde experiments? Just know that these two pairs of the Puma Clyde are limited edition releases, and your best chance at snagging a pair might be online.

In September we brought you a look at the result of a collaboration between Philadelphia based Ubiq and the Atmos team. This time, Ubiq lends its talents to a project with Puma; with the result being a collection of two Puma Suede Mids and two Puma Clydes referred to also as the “700 Level” collection. In fact, what the set of shoes celebrates is reportedly the history of Veterans Stadium, which used to be found in Philadelphia until 2004 and played host to a slew of historic events (both sports-related and not). Which pair of the set do you like most? Expect a release date sometime around November 21, 2009 at select Puma retailers.

Puma Halloween 2009 Pack - Basket Boo & Mr. Bones Mid

With Halloween three days away, Puma released their Halloween 2009 Pack just in time. Puma’s take on the festivities includes classic silhouettes in costume form: the Basket Boo and Mr. Bones Mid. The Puma Basket Boo features a white leather upper and white midsole green accents on the outsole, ghost ooze lace eyelet, laces, and Boo eyes at the back heel. The face of the ghost is placed at the heel to scare off those whose necks you just broke. The ghost translucent outsole also makes this a sweet festive shoe. The Mr. Bones Mid takes a different approach with its checkered and striped fabric upper, making this a Frankenstein of a shoe. The outsole features a skeletal foot bottom, much similar to the idea of the X-Ray Nike Blazers. Both shoes sport “1031″ at the side logo tabs to give thanks to All Hallows Eve.

You can always count on the Puma brand to mix old-school with new-school in about as seamless a way as can be done. We recently brought you a look at two Clyde models in a suede green and suede grey colorway that exemplify the smooth style of this Puma classic. Now, we’d like to show you two more monotone suede colorways of the Puma Clyde that, together, have been nicknamed the “Bring Backs.” One pair consists of a suede “flint stone” upper, while the second comes in suede “snorkel” blue. Both sit atop completely white soles and come with shoe laces that match the upper. Which one of the four pairs mentioned in this post would you prefer to wear? Which pair of releases did you think was a better combo? Regardless, certain Puma retailers have already received these two new colorways, while more Puma retailers stand to do the same in the coming weeks.

Many Puma fans were excited when they caught wind of the brand’s “Fatlace” pack. So perhaps they’ll also like one, some, or all of the six latest Puma silhouettes to get the suede treatment and make up what has been dubbed the “Classic” pack. What’s different about this set is that, while the soles remain completely white, the upper is made of two different colors besides white. These have slowly begun to creep up in select Puma retailers, so you can start hunting as soon as you’re ready. Check us out after the jump for more pix.
