TOMS Shoes is the first ever shoe brand to donate one pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair which they sell. “One for One” is the phrase behind the brand, which may keep the most influential focus within the entire shoe brandosphere. Though the retail price for most of TOMS Shoes (under $75) is under the typical high-end designer brand tier, neither style nor substance of the TOMS product appears to have been sacrificed.

As part of their Spring 2009 collection, PF Flyers is set to release a plethora of new colorways of their Albin model. The PF Albin features a low-top cut that is accentuated by cross-stitching on the upper along with a clean white midsole. PF Flyers has decided to use a low-top silhouette on the Albin due to their belief that it unites the shape of a dress shoe and the wearability and comfort of a sneaker. The Albin will release in about eight new colorways which range from silver Italian embossed leather all the way to a simple white canvas twill. The colorways will range from $120 to $130, and are now available at Zappos and Nordstroms.

To help boost the promotion of the silver screen release of “Star Trek,” the people behind the sci-fi film have enlisted the help of skate shoe company Airwalk to come up with something unheard of: a Star Trek shoe collaboration. The Star Trek x STPL x Airwalk Terrain features a black tarnished leather upper and black midsole, with a grey mesh tongue. The uncanny resemblance of the Airwalk “A” symbol and the Star Trek shield symbol made this collaboration even better, placing the ST logo on the tongue, laces, and back ankle tab. “NCC-1701″ is stitched on the side heel to match the U.S.S. Enterprise, and the STPL name is found on the side ankle tab. To finish it off, “Star Trek” is printed in white on a red insole, stating the purpose of the shoe. This shoe is limited to 110 pairs for men and 20 for children, and is only available at Reed Space NYC now. Jay-Z’s brand Rocawear is scheduled to release the R+ Sneaker in June. From this picture, it seems to us he may put down his Air Yeezy’s, and Jordans to promote the Rocawear R+. At a first glance, they resemble certain Supra and Greedy Genius models, with a Nike Dunk midsole. First colorway to drop June 1st is Black / Red, with R+ stitched on the tongue, and red laces. The Hundreds debuted their Valenzuela sneaker from their Footware Collection last month and look to offer more choices along with the Johnson Mid and Low. For the Summer 2009 line, the Hundreds implement canvas construction as well as two toned color schemes.  The sneakers are branded with the brands signature logo on the tongue and heel and also sport the Jags print on the sole. All three models will be available starting this Thursday, April 23rd at the Hundreds Los Angles and San Francisco.
