Coming April 1st the Steve and Barry’s shops will get the new Starbury II exclusively (By Stephon Marbury). Apart of the release Marbury will make a appearance at the Manhattan Mall April 1st from 4-6pm. The on April 3rd he will visit the Palisades Mall 3-4pm. The Starbury will follow with their motto by making affordable basketball sneakers, and the retail is $14.99.

Coming in June skateboard brand Lakai will launch their “Quiet Life Collab” series, which the collaboration is with the group Quiet Life. Andy Mueller, Lakai art director is in charge of the Quiet Life, which now has expanded to producing two seasons of clothing per year. A couple days ago we had a small preview of whats to come in the Alife Spring 2007 collection. Now we will show you the full lineup. A few pairs you may have already seen, but the majority of the full line we did not have in our first Alife Spring 2007. One kind of material that stood out to me the most was some sort of animal hair used, not sure which animal it is from though. DC Shoes has now teamed up with Situationorma, a urban street wear label to present everyone with the Double Label Project. The project between the two companies will consist of a limited DC sneaker which is inspired by macaroni and cheese (left) – broccoli and beef (right). As you can tell, the sneaker market has been saturated with collaborations some good and bad, now another collaboration has hit the market with C1rca and Brooklyn Projects, which I will let you decide what category they fall in. The C1rca x Brooklyn Project goes with the Gucci look with the forest green and frilled denim. A few other characteristics would be the Brooklyn Project logo at the heel, along with gold accents throughout the sneaker. No release date thus far, but we will have another update soon.
