Just last Friday we brought you a look at two Player Exclusives of the Nike Zoom Kobe V- the Rice and Lower Merion high school pairs. While we’re still waiting on any official word regarding a release of those PEs, we now have release information for yet another Nike Zoom Kobe V colorway. Pictured here is the limited edition black/deep forest-varsity maize Nike Zoom Kobe V, which will release this Thursday, March 4th, from the Montalban Theatre in Hollywood, CA. With a predominantly black upper, this Nike Zoom Kobe V brings something new to the table by way of the deep forest color cues that can be seen in places like the Nike swoosh and shoe laces area. If you’re in the Hollywood area or are willing to make the necessary arrangements to be so, then you might want to know that the Montalban Theatre is located on 1615 Vine Street, Hollywood, CA 90028. You can drop by between 12 and 6 in the afternoon for a shot at purchasing a pair of these.

Just when we thought the Nike team was running out of colorways to apply to the Nike Air Max Lebron VII silhouette, it came up with a whole new take on it. A few weeks ago we showed you a Post Season version of the Nike Lebron VII, which does not include the 360-degree Air Max sole as does the Nike Air Max Lebron VII counterpart. But the patent leather touches and transluscent soles both remain. While you can expect Lebron and other teammates of his to be rocking these came playoff time, you can check out some different/new shots of this Nike sneaker after the jump.

We’ve caught glimpses of different Nike Hyperdunk 2010 colorways, including an L.A. Lakers-inspired pair and the “del sol” colorway. Now, although it may perhaps seem long overdue, we have spotted a Nike Hyperdunk 2010 scheduled to release in the ever-so-popular and famous black/sport red colorway. Pictured here, the black/sport red Nike Hyperdunk 2010 sports a predominantly black upper with slight red accents by way of the Nike swoosh, lining, and some of the sole. Furthermore, although there are no Flywire panels, the Flywire streaks can still be seen on the sides of this pair of shoes. This colorway is expected to release this summer- do you think it’ll be more sought after than the L.A. Lakers away colorway?

A week ago we showed you a black/pale blue pair of the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo that is scheduled to release later this year in June. News of that colorway’s drop was received with general excitement, but now there’s word of another colorway arriving much earlier. Pictured here is a grey/red-white Nike Air Total Max Uptempo that will be made available for purchase from select Nike retailers including House of Hoops locations this Saturday, March 6th. Most of the upper comes in dark grey leather, while the outsole; Nike swoosh; and what resembles a veiny pattern along the upper all contain red and/or white accents. Which of the two Nike Air Total Max Uptempo colorways mentioned here are you more excited to see release?

Nike Air Pippen I - White / Total Orange

Earlier this month, we previewed the Nike Air Pippen I White/Black-Metallic Silver, and we are now getting our first look at a new, never released colorway that hosts a white leather upper with orange accents seen on the outsole and upper designs, while grey accents are visible via the swoosh on the bottom rear of the sneaker. Overall, this Pippen I yields an interesting colorway that definitely contrasts with the simple and less vivid styles we are accustomed of seeing on this model. Nonetheless, the White/Total Orange Nike Air Pippen I is expected to release in June 2010.

Detroit Pistons' trainer bans the Nike Hyperize

Accusing one of Nike’s newest basketball sneakers, the Nike Hyperize, of ” most of the support out of the sides,” Arnie Kander, the Detroit Pistons’ strength and conditioning coach, has banned the Nike Hyperize from the team locker room. Kander states that “most basketball shoes weigh between 1.4 and 1.7 pounds. These shoes were weighing 0.8 pounds, which was way too light as far as side support.” Kander cites ankle, knee and groin injuries to many of the Detroit Pistons as evidence that the sneaker does not provide adequate support to the feet. What are your thoughts? Did Arine Kander make the right decision by banning the Hyperize or should NBA players be allowed to wear whichever the sneakers they choose?
