Nike Air Max LeBron VII (7) - NY Yankees

And then there were twenty seven. You all saw or heard that the New York Yankees have won their 27th World Series title. So Nike decided to continue to show love for the team with a special Nike LeBron shoe. It started with the Nike Zoom LeBron V, giving the shoe a white/navy colorway. Now, the Nike Air Max LeBron VII (7) gets the same treatment. The 7’s follow the same design as the white/navy-red pair, except this shoe features a custom toe design on each foot; “27″ on the right foot and “New York” on the left in gold. These babies were produced in a small quantity of 27 pairs for friends and family, including the team itself. Let us know what you think of these bad boys as they will most likely never touch your feet.

Nike Hyperize GS - Think Pink

The Nike Hyperdunk got a nice Think Pink makeover, so it only made sense that the next popular Nike Basketball model would get a cute makeover as well. The Nike Hyperize GS comes in a pink/white colorway to represent the “Think Pink” line, which raises breast cancer awareness. The Hyperize utilizes pink patent at the toe, along with a white swoosh against a pink flywire panel. The Think Pink logo is placed at the tongue tag and insole, to make this a clean two-toned shoe. Stay tuned for more info about the shoe’s release later on.

Because the Nike Hyperize and Nike Hypermax have received so much attention as a result of special Nike events and commemorative efforts, it’s only natural that many of us begin to let the Nike Hyperdunk model start to fade away. But Nike seems poised to help us remember. Pictured here is a low-cut design of the Nike Hyperdunk that made such loud noise during the last basketball season. This pair comes in a predominantly white and black color palette with red accents along the lining and around the Nike swoosh, for example. This and perhaps other Nike Hyperdunk lows are rumored to release next year, but for now you can enjoy these teaser pix. For those of you who buy in to Kobe Bryant’s low-top sneaker preference, how do you think these might look on the court?

Nike Court Force High Basic - November 2009

November has just begun and Nike is starting it off with a bang! Nike has released three colorways of its Nike Court Force model. The Nike Court Force High Basic comes in white/blue/yellow, black/pink/silver, and navy/purple/grey. These basic Court Forces are named for their basic colorways, yet its simplicity is the defining characteristic, as these shoes don’t need gaudy designs to sell. The colorways sell themselves, making great additions to anyone’s fits. These Court Forces use leather uppers; patent on the navy pair, and metallic silver on the black pair. These are available now for about $88 online overseas.

We’ve seen Nike champion a lot of worthwhile campaigns over the recent years. None of them bigger than the Think Pink campaign that fights to spread breast cancer awareness. Lisa Leslie recently had a hand in the Think Pink Nike Bluechip II that we previewed back in August. Now, as the NBA season kicks off, two more basketball stars will be lacing up for at least some games in the Nike Bluechip II. Caron Butler of the Washington Wizards has his own PE of the basketball model in a black and white colorway with gold and white accents. Jermaine O’Neal of the Miami Heat has himself a pair in red and black with minimal white accents. Both pairs have begun to hit certain Nike retailers, especially online. Which NBA player do you think got the best PE out of these two?

It’s so cool for a sneakerhead watching a great basketball game to glance at a player’s feet and see a fresh sneaker to ball in that is like the cherry on top of it all. We already saw Nike design a Player Edition of the Nike Hyperize for Pau Gasol, and now it seems as if the brand has done the same for Ben Gordon. Now that the superstar guard is on the Detroit Pistons squad, his PEs retain red and white but sport blue instead of black. This particular PE pair comes in a predominantly red/white upper with blue accents such as on the Nike swoosh outline. Select Nike retailers have already begun to make these available for purchase, so you might want to take advantage of this opportunity.
