As you probably already know, the Nike Fun Police takes past Nike Basketball shoes, i.e. the Air Garnett 3, Zoom Flight T-Bug, and Zoom Flight 5, and forms yet a creative hybrid. Another colorway will start hitting retailers, White, Black, and Electrolime. Nike’s global 1World initiative seeks to pair up some of the world’s most inventive artists and athletes with timeless Beaverton silhouettes. New Jersey Nets big man Yi Jianlian recently got his time to shine, designing his own Nike Air Force One (1). The lowtop’s beige upper is cleverly separated into woven and faux-crocodile premium leather parts and offset by a chocolate outsole. Jianlian’s flaming “Yi” logo resides on the heel tab. Unfortunately, it’s likely that these scorchers won’t reach US retail soil anytime soon; they’re slated to release on May 17 in China.

The Nike Air Trainer III was a weightroom favorite for dual-sport athlete Bo Jackson in the 1990s. The ATCIII recently hit shelves in this red/grey/black schema, and honestly, the hybrid shoe has never looked better. This nylon Nike Dunk features a predominantly black upper that’s offset nicely by a pink Swoosh and midsole, and a spare white outsole. Nike Basketball has some fire in store of Fall/Winter 2009. During this quarter Nike plans on releasing a few retros as well as a plethora of new shoes. After presenting the last Nike Blazer Mid, another one was sure to pop up soon. The Nike Blazer Mid is now in a black/metallic silver colorway, for all the fans to rejoice. Throughout the whole shoe is a black and grey mesh-like material, followed by a metallic silver swoosh, although not like the one on the Tiffany’s. The shoe also features a black leather toebox, black toe, and white midsole, as many classic Blazer’s portray. To top it off the shoe is contrasted by neon yellow laces, Nike tongue tag, and sole. This is a clean pickup for any collector, and is available for $88.

The timeless Nike Cortez has reachieved global celebrity status recently, as an updated Flywire version of the jogger formed the centerpiece for a Nike Store opening in Taiwan. Technology is good and all, but I’m happy that the ‘Tez has hit shelves in a Nylon “Vintage” hues of orange and blue. The shoe features weathered suede accents and a dual-colored midsole for some added visual contrast. The Nike Cortez Nylon in orange and blue has hit select stockists in Southeast Asia.
