This Saturday March 28th, The Club Hoops Chicago team will hold another event at Niketown Chicago from 1:30-3:00. Participants can design their own shoe at NIKEID.com or at NIKETOWN Chicago for a chance to win. The first 64 ballers to submit a design of the Nike Hyperdunk to nikeclubhoops@nike.com will have a chance to win their design at the event. You’ll also learn more about the BALLERSNETWORK which provides Nation Wide basketball players insight on Future Nike Products.

If you’re one of those people who always thought you could create a better colorway of the Nike Hyperdunk than the ones that have come out, now is your chance. As Sneakerfiles.com reported before the Nike iD Hyperdunk is now live and anyone with a computer, internet connection, and a sense of style can make their own colorway. Now getting that colorway that was created is something else and it will set you back around $140 before shipping and taxes. If you want the transparent sole with something written on it that is $10 extra. Be sure that these will sell out for the first few months as they are a release that many were looking forward to, so either constantly refresh NikeiD.com until they are available or wait out the storm. March Madness is one of the most exciting times in basketball and has had a history of memorable moments. For this years tournament, Nike will be outfitting Duke, Memphis, Michigan State, Connecticut, Oklahoma State and Gonzaga in special edition Hyperdunks creating using Nike iD. Each sneaker is designed to match the jersey of these college teams and goes as far as personalized tongue labels and designs on the upper. Must be nice to be a basketball player that is sponsored by Nike, just look at Amar’e Stoudemire. Fresh off the news that the Player Edition of his Nike Foamposite Lite will be released, we get an inital pictures of the Player Edition of his Nike Hyperdunk PE. Following closely to the color scheme of the Foamposite PE, the Amar’e Stoudemire Nike Hyperdunk PE is predominantely white with orange and grey accents throughout, which reflect the colors of Amar’e’s team, the Pheonix Suns. The tongue contains the letters “A” and “S” obviously reflecting Amar’e Stoudemire’s initials. No word yet on if or when these will drop, but for those really liking the colorway Nike Hyperdunks will be available on Nike iD on March 17th.

The Nike Hyperdunk will be available for personalization on Nike iD starting March 17th. The Hyperdunk has appeared on Nike iD in two different models featuring either a clear outsole or a solid outsole. The clear outsole Hyperdunk is priced at $150 with numerous designs to be created. From the tongue to the translucent sole, the Hyperdunk can be fully customized with a variety of color options to be paired with graphics on the upper or sole. You can make your very own Hyperdunk now at Nike iD, but won’t be able for available purchase until March 17. The solid outersole Hyperdunk will cost $140, while the clear outersole will retail at $150.

On Court: NBA All Star Game 2009 - Saturday's Events

The NBA All Star Weekend kicked off last night with the Rookie Challenge and today, the Haier Shooting Stars, Play Station Skills Challenge, Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout, and the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest all took place. The day was quite action packed with the underdog, Daequan Cook, winning the Three Point Contest while Derrick Rose won the Play Station Skills Challenge, and Team Detroit finished first in the Haier Shooting Stars. Sneaker wise, the day was also quite action packed with interesting sneaker choices from athletes including Michael Cooper rocking the Nike Think Pink – Hyperdunk and Dwight Howard rocking a Superman player exclusive colorway of the adidas TS Bounce Commander.
