This multicolored Nike SB Dunk Low will release this Fall as part of Nike SB’s (Skateboarding) Fall collection. Featuring hints of croc patent leather, smooth leather, nubuck, and suede on the upper, the shoe’s lime green/black/brown/black color scheme and speckle detailing around the ankle collar look like the perfect fit for October weather. Once the prototypical shoe of the sneaker world, the Nike Dunk High model has seen a bit of the back burner this year, receiving far fewer new colorways than in years past. Perhaps the pool of possible color combinations is simply drying up — if you’re wondering why they look so familiar, the front of the shoe features a toe/tongue virtually identical to that of the Goldenrod/Iowa colorway. The White midpanel and Total Orange heel do mix things up a little bit, the latter of which is accented with some faux-quilting similar to what we saw earlier this month, but I’m still not too excited about them. Shoe customizer SBTG has worked with Nike on numerous occasions including the well known Nike SB SBTG Dunk Low. His seemingly endless imagination translated into a unique style which has brought him much success. With that being said, SBTG dwelled far into the depths of his imagination to complete a special 1 of 1 shoe for Kobe Bryant. The shoe examines the hypothetical realm and ponders the question, “What if Kobe didn’t make make the jump straight to the NBA and became a Blue Devil?” What resulted was a highly detailed Nike Dunk High with a pre-yellowed midsole, discontinuity on each shoe’s midpanels, which are then embossed with Kobe’s signature Shozoko logos. The box itself is a separate work of art which is composed of a laser detailed wooden frame and a plexiglass cover. The climax of SBTG’s work came when SBTG presented Kobe with the custom “Varsity Bones” along a stop of Kobe’s Asia tour. More images on the next page.

Saturday, August 1st, A.R.C., or better known as the Alife Rivington Club will release their latest collaboration, the A.R.C. x Nike Dunk High Supreme TZ. As stated by A.R.C., “In contrast to the previous collaborative release between Alife Rivington Club and Nike—the all white A.R.C. AF1—this A.R.C. Nike Dunk High features an all black upper adorned by a white Swoosh and a white A.R.C. seal on the heel. As with the AF1, the upper sits on a tonal midsole and gum colored outsole. Hidden within the shoe’s simple and classic upper design are technical features that enhance its functionality, most notably in the use of Schoeller technical fabrics and 0.44 sticky rubber outsole.” The shoe will retail for $158.00 USD and the first 100 customers will receive a complimentary “Black, White, Gum & Bang” T-shirt. If this isn’t enough, A.R.C. will have turntablist and scratch champion DJ Craze spinning in A.R.C.’s courtyard between 3-6P.M. for those who purchase the shoes.

We last saw a similar looking Nike Dunk as the Nike Dunk Tech Challenge. This Nike Dunk High in a black/black-hot red colorway is definitely a sibling to the Dunk Tech Challenge, just in a black base colorway. The shoe has an all black leather upper and hot red midsole to separate the black upper from the black outsole. Hot red is also found on the tongue tag and the back panel features a splatter print that takes influence from the Air Tech Challenge. This shoe is on sale now for $140 online from Germany.

After seeing the Nike Air Force 1 Tech Challenge, it’s no surprise to see that the influence has carried over to the classic Nike Dunk. The Nike Dunk Tech Challenge features a white base upper with an infrared leather swoosh and red toe and outsole. The splatter that made the Air Tech Challenge famous is found on the back panel in black, along with the ribbing at the back ankle.

Nike SB (Skateboarding) will return this Holiday season with the SB Dunk Low Orange “Un-Hemp.” The shoe appears to feature a hemp upper with a black Swoosh and accents and orange leather overlays. The midsole is distinguished by black speckles and the SB is tied together by brown laces. Speculation says that the Nike SB Dunk Low Orange “Un-Hemp” will be a Quickstrike release this Holiday season. When updates appear, we’ll add more here, so please check back!
