With El Dia De Los Muertos around the corner on November 2nd, Nike is releasing another Day of the Dead commemorative shoe. The Nike Dunk High Premium is one of a three pack consisting of the Dunk Hi, Nike Air Max 90 and Nike Dunk Low. The Dunk Hi features a dark tone, which is executed by a black leather upper, black midsole, and purple outsole. The upper also features black panels with iconic Mexican characters in purple. These panels are contrasted by orange stitching, as well as a green swoosh and inner lining. The insole also pays homage to El Dia with its skeletal graphic design. As a quickstrike, these are limited in quantities, but we’ll keep you updated with a release date and more info on the DOTD pack.

We all know about the DQM x Nike Dunk High collection from back in 2008. Well, if you haven’t, you should by now thanks to Complex Magazine’s Top 100 sneakers from the 2000’s. But what you didn’t know was that there is another colorway for the shoe that was made available for friends and family only. That’s right, the DQM x Nike Dunk High Hyperstrike is in existence, in 24 pairs of black on black sneakers. The shoe features a black perforated nubuck upper and black midsole and outsole. Too bad these will never see the light from the DQM store, so if you ever come across this kind of quality meat, be sure to save it for a special occasion.

As a preview for the Nike SB October releases, the Nike SB Dunk Low Premium comes in a colorful black/green spark-hoop orange colorway. The upper consists of black suede panels and green spark premium leather on the side and toebox, while all being offset by a hoop orange premium leather swoosh to match the inner lining. The black midsole features yellow contrast stitching to go along with the yellow outsole, and purple is added to the mix on the laces. The insole features custom artwork detailing to spice things up a bit for this already vibrant shoe. It’s available now early for those willing to pay $105 price tag.

The females out there should be very glad to see that Nike has only not forgotton about them, but actually emphasized them with a plethora of women’s releases. One such release was the Nike Blazer “Grand Purple,” and now a certain online retailer has in stock a Nike Dunk High also for the women, and also including purple. The Dunk pictured here has a black synthetic base, sports white along the heel, toe box, and sole, and is topped off with a purple spot pattern that also contains a touch of grey. I don’t see many men even thinking twice about letting this “women’s” release pass them by- especially purple enthusiasts like myself.

Very recently we gave you a preview of a Nike Dunk Low SB coming out in Summer of 2010 with a Navy/Red colorup. Apparently, Nike SB has more in store for next Summer. Team Nike readies itself to drop a Dunk High SB in another very popular (and my favorite) color that they’re calling “Grand Purple.” With purple leather, a white midsole and set of laces, and a black upper that seems to be made out of either suede or leather as well, this pair of Dunk SB’s could be the alternative purple kicks many have been waiting for. What do you guys think? How many of you are going to have just as much trouble as I am waiting until NEXT summer!?

After just seeing a glimpse of the varsity red Nike SB Dunk Low Pro, another preview of a Spring 2010 Nike SB has been leaked: the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro in obsidian/team red. This Dunk uses a full suede upper in obsidian and team red, balancing the two colors nicely. Team red is placed on the swoosh, tongue, toebox, and side panel, while obsidian is placed on the back ankle tab, inner lining, toe, and outsole. A clean white midsole offsets this colorway nicely, making this a sure-fire hit come April 2010.

Previews for the Nike SB Spring 2010 line keep popping up, as we have a look at the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro in a varsity red/white-blue colorway. The upper sports varsity red in suede with a white toebox to match the midsole and white accents throughout the shoe. Blue lines the midsole to match the tongue, and the shoe is completed with a varsity red outsole. The Nike logos are stitched in red on the back ankle panel and tongue tag to enforce the red tone of the shoe. This will be released sometime next spring so keep it locked.
