Earlier today we touched on the Holy Grail, a shoe store that was looted after the Los Angeles Lakers conquered the NBA Finals in Orlando. Richard Torres, owner of the Holy Grail, arrived on scene less than an hour after the game ended to find fewer than 20 pairs of shoes out of the 800 he had in stock. Neighbors told Torres and authorities that the celebrants broke down the door to the store yelling, “We want shoes, we want shoes.” Many of the vintage kicks are irreplaceable and the damage to the store’s innards is extensive; glass display cases are shattered, two computers, money, and accessories were looted. Torres estimated the damage at nearly $140,000 but expects to be covered by insurance. He hopes to reopen the Holy Grail by the end of the week. Via LA Times.

Thus, this Dunk High Premium hosts an off-white premium leather upper accented by black paneling, electric blue laces, and a black mid-sole. Another key feature of this pair is the unique perforations made into the mid panel. Overall, this Dunk High yields a clean and simple colorway which is nicely contrasted by the bright blue laces. The Nike Dunk, an iconic basketball sneaker that is constantly re-issued in fresh colorways, will be releasing in a new purple based style this Summer. Though the pictures give the sneaker a darker look, this style of the Dunk Low hosts a grand purple upper with volt accents seen on the laces and out-sole, while grey accents are visible via the mid-sole and tongue tag. Just like the OG Lobster Dunks, this pair will be available first at Concepts, and will then drop internationally soon after. Nike SB recently teamed up with NJ Skate Shop to produce the Dunk Low SB “Toxic Avenger”. The shoe’s premium leather upper and brown/light brown/yellow/green/black/red color scheme is inspired by New Jersey’s first super hero, Toxic Avenger. The shoe goes without the “fat tongue”, a measure taken by the SB camp to make their shoes more wearable in a casual environment. The release date for the Nike SB Dunk Low x NJ Skate Shop “Toxic Avenger” is unknown currently, but we’ll update when we learn more!

The Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) “Philly” borrows from Kobe’s birthplace – Philadelphia. The shoe features a patriotic blue/red/white upper with splashes of patent leather and Flywire. The shoe’s ankle collar is finished off by a reflective star pattern. Details include “8-23-78″ (KB’s date of birth) stamped onto the sockliner and “23″ burned on the heel.
