Before closing out last year, we were excited to inform our readers that the Nike Air Max 90 “Infrared” was going to release once again in 2010. Initially thought to be a Fall season drop, the “Infrared” Nike Air Max 90 will actually release in July from select Nike retailers including FootLocker and House of Hoops locations nationwide. Being the Nike Air Max 90’s 20th anniversary, it should make sense that we see this iconic colorway of the Nike Air Max 90 release again. Nike SB Omar Salazar Pro Model x Dinosaur Jr.

As most sneakerheads know, the “Dinosaur Jr.” Nike SB Dunk High is one of the most popular Dunk SBs ever created, and we are now seeing the product of another collaboration between Nike SB and Dinosaur Jr., the alternative rock band that formed in 1983. This time around, the silhouette of choice is the Omar Salazar Pro Model, and it features a purple upper with green accents seen on the outsole, laces, inner lining, swoosh outline, and logo on the tongue. Similar to the aforementioned Dunk High SB, this model also hosts the image of a human Dino on the rear panel. There is no release information regarding this Omar Salazar Pro Model, so stay tuned for any updates.

Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) – Rice H.S.

We previewed the “Rice High School” Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) last month, and we are now receiving information suggesting that this player exclusive colorway will release at the House of Hoops this Saturday. This Zoom Kobe 5 yields a yellow leather upper with green accents seen on the swoosh, inner lining, and toecap, while white accents are visible via the midsole. Just to make it obvious for whom this sneaker was originally created, Nike has also included “RICE” on the rear of the sneaker. The “Rice High School” Nike Zoom Kobe 5 will release at selected House of Hoops locations on March 20, 2010.

Our montage of Nike Hyperdunk University NCAA PEs continues today with this blue/white beauty made exclusively for Calipari’s boys. The shoe features clear Flywire and TPU at the heel, but gradually darkens and finishes in Kentucky blue at the toe. If you look close, you’ll notice that a ferocious wildcat logo is printed along the toe. As if John Wall and company needed any more help intimidating opponents. For now, this Nike Hyperdunk PE will remain exclusive to the University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball team.

Nike Hyperdunk - Gonzaga University PE

We have seen a multitude of Nike Hyperdunk PEs over the course of the past few weeks mainly due to March Madness and the NCAA Tournament. This time around, Nike has decided to reward the  Gonzaga University with their very own colorway of the Hyperdunk. The Gonzaga PE hosts a navy blue upper accented by a navy to white gradient midpanel, red swoosh, red outsole, and red inner lining. In addition, the Gonzaga Bulldog can be seen on the tongue, while the inside of the tongue reveals the founding year of GU, 1887. The Gonzaga PE Nike Hyperdunk is not expected to release at any retailers.

Nike has decided to combine all they have to offer technology-wise for their sponsored athletes for the upcoming NBA 2010 Playoffs. While LeBron James will be rocking his Air Max LeBron VII (7) P.S. sneakers, other athletes will have the chance to wear the Nike Air Max Hyperize, which hosts Flywire tecnology and an Air Max 360 sole. This specific pair yields a white upper with a black swoosh, university blue midsole, black laces, an intricate university blue lined pattern on the upper, and black inner lining.
