The Nike Hyperize will morph into the Nike Rizemax in the Summer of 2010. As the name indicates, the high-performance Nike Basketball shoe will incorporate an Air Max unit under the foot for the big fellas who reside in the paint. For now, we’re able to gather that green/yellow/varsity red, varsity red/white, and midnight navy/white colorways of the Nike Rizemax will release.

For years now, the Nike LeBron line has dedicated a special colorway to our favorite communist country and go-to financial backer, China. This season, the Nike LeBron VII (7) “China” is distinguished by its metallic gold toe and matching Flywire. The shoe’s gleaming white upper is covered with Chinese text and design, none of which I can decipher. An Air Max unit is embedded in the VIIs midsole for unmatched comfort. Earlier this year Nike bestowed upon us once again the Nike Air Penny III in its classic royal blue colorway. Orlando Magic fans and players alike were quick to rock a pair of these on and off the court. In the summer of 2010, however, fans of the Penny III’s might have two new colorways to choose from. The first pair pictured here comes in a predominantly red colorway with white and black accents. A second pair that will hopefully drop consists of a predominantly purple colorway also with white and black accents sure to appease fans of purple, like yours truly. Keep your fingers and whatever else you can crossed if you too hope that Nike in fact comes out with these in the summer of 2010.

You have more than likely already seen the “Hyperizers – Don’t Criticize” Nike Commercial by now where Kevin Durant appears as Velvet Hoops. If so, you know exactly where the inspiration behind this sneaker comes from. Featuring a bright red patent leather upper accented by a multicolored inner lining, yellow midsole, green outsole, and black swoosh, this colorway of the KD2 creates an amazingly unique sneaker. Unfortunately, the “Velvet Hoops” Nike KD2 is not expected to be available to the public, but stay tuned for updates.

After seeing the Nike Zoom Sharkalaid being influenced by movies such as Transformers 2 and G.I. Joes, it’s nice to see that the basketball shoe has been released in a simple general release colorway. This time, the Nike Zoom Sharkalaid comes in a white/white-black-varsity royal colorway, using a white leather upper with black nubuck panels. The white swoosh is outlined in black to match the white and black colorway, but varsity royal and purple are added to contrast the shoe nicely. The tongue is made of silky varsity royal material to give add some class to this $88 shoe, which is available now.

Before Kobe Bryant was drafted into the NBA in 1996 by the Charlotte Hornets, he attended Lower Merion High School; thus, it comes as no surprise that the Pennsylvania institute will be receiving their own colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe 4. This pair hosts a clean white upper accented by a red swoosh, silver toecap, red inner lining, silver tongue, red heel, and red/white laces. Overall, the sneaker yields a simple and fresh colorway that will definitely sell out if it ever makes its way to retail shelves. At the beginning of the summer we got word of an upcoming Nike Auto Flight release in the now famous “bred” colorway. Since learning of these, the Los Angeles Lakers snatched the NBA Finals trophy behind Kobe Bryant and inevitably caught the attention of the Nike team and world alike. The Nike Auto Flight pictured here obviously draws from the Los Angeles Lakers’ team colors and sports the LA stamp on the heel. While the upper is made up of a predominantly purple makeup, it sits atop the ever-popular white sole and contains yellow lining. Anticipate a September release with these.
