Although Nike is a proven leader in lifestyle shoes, they still began as an athletic brand. That’s why it’s no surprise that Nike teamed up with ten different college football programs to create a College Football Pack to go along with the release of the new Nike Pro Combat uniform, which is the lightest football uniform ever made. The pack consists of special combat style cases which feature the school name and logo, date stamp for each game, university mantra, graphics, global coordinates of each home’s stadium, and individual numbering. And all that was only for the case. The contents within the case include a special pair of Nike Air Trainer 1s in each team’s collegiate colors, along with a matching t-shirt, athletic tape, and other athletic goods. Nine packs were released for each of the ten colleges, including Texas and Florida State, making a total of ninety packs available at 21 Mercer on Friday, November 27th. What better way to show your college pride than by copping these super limited packs?

This holiday season, Nike is releasing quite a number of Air Maxes, particularly the Air Max 90. The Nike Air Max 90 Premium comes in a black/white-flint grey-hot red colorway, taking cues from the ever-so-popular Infrared AM90s. The shoe utilizes premium materials, such as black ballistic mesh on the toebox and ankle, flint grey nubuck at the toe, black leather on the mudguard, and white leather throughout. The hot red accents at the sole and upper make this an even better shoe aesthetically, perhaps posing as a substitute for those who couldn’t get their hands on the Infrareds. These babies will release this holiday season as a Footlocker exclusive for their ‘Be The Revolution of You’ campaign that starts this weekend.

From Spizikes to Blazers, many shoes have been winterized to prepare for the Winter style. Nike 6.0 is no exception to the trend, as the Nike 6.0 Zoom Oncore High gets winterized. The Oncore High comes in a golden beige/rustic-black-sport red colorway, and has lost a little weight compared to the skate shoe. The Oncore uses a winterized outsole and sport red midsole, while the upper consists of golden beige suede and black nubuck to match the black fur used on the inner lining to keep your feet warm. These 6.0s are available now on the Nike site as a Holiday 2009 release, and will make an in-store appearance at Nike retailers such as Extra Butter.

Earlier today, we gave you a preview of Patta’s fourth collaboration with Nike, in celebration of Patta’s fifth anniversary. Now, we have a closer look at the masterful Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Premium QS. The AM1 comes in a dark obsidian/team green-concord-sport red colorway. If you read our last post about these collabos, you already know that these Maxes combine a mix of different materials on the upper, such as denim, corduroy, and suede. Although these babies will release at Patta this weekend, these will be available online for purchase on December 1st on Dunk’s online site. So save your plane ticket to the Netherlands, unless you’re already planning a holiday vacation there.

It seems as though a lot of the big holiday releases are starting to pile up on us now that Thanksgiving is mere hours away and we can almost taste Christmas. While a huge Lebron VII release will take place tomorrow, Wednesday November 25, that is not the only buzz Nike will be generating on Thanksgiving eve. Tomorrow, a celebratory release of DJ Clark Kent’s Nike Air Force 1 high East, which draws inspiration from the New York Knicks team colors, will be held at 21 Mercer (Canal street & Grand street) in New York City from 8:00PM to 10:00PM. Naturally, DJ Clark Kent will be on the 1s and 2s. With a superb mix of blue reptilian leather, black leather, and orange nubuck, these could very well be the best pair of the Nike Air Force 1 high we’ve seen release in a while. So for those sneakerheads (New Yorkers and non-New Yorkers alike) who feel the same way, tomorrow you will have a chance at owning a piece of history.
