This previously unseen Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) sample recently turned up in a white patent/white/varsity purple/black/canyon gold scheme. Like the release version, Kobe’s championship shoe features a prominent outrigger in the front and sculpted midsole for reduced weight in the rear. The Zoom Air unit embedded in the heel and the patent heel cup are also analogous to the ZKIV sitting on retail shelves. The primary difference between the two, however, is the unreleased pair features a leather middle panel, while the one on the Blacks Mamba’s feet is interspersed with Flywire support strands. Varsity Purple stitching reinforcements hold the Swoosh in place on the sample pair. This Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) will not hit shelves.

In addition to all of the Nike Sportswear x LIVESTRONG kicks we’ve seen, Nike Basketball created their own all-yellow rendition of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) LIVESTRONG PE. Inspired by world renowned cyclist Lance Armstrong, the high performance hoops shoe features a patent yellow Swoosh and toe. Black Flywire strands lend support across the midfoot and Armstrong’s “LIVESTRONG” ethos is inscribed on the lateral toe. There is no release planned for the Nike Zoom Kobe IV LIVESTRONG PE, but we’ll update if anything comes to the light.

Kobe Bryant wore this black/varsity purple/canyon gold Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) on the road this past NBA season. The shoe’s black upper is accented by canyon gold Nike Flywire. Patent leather sets the toe off and multicolored laces tie everything together. For now, the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) Purple Haze PE will remain in the sample closet, but there’s always a chance the shoe will hit House of Hoops sometime down the road!
