Kobe Bryant and the Nike Zoom Kobe 4 (IV) were extremely successful this year, and Nike Basketball is hoping that Kobe’s upcoming signature sneaker, the Dream Season, is also met with similar success. We have seen a couple previews of the Nike Dream Season thus far, and we now have our first look at black/white-purple style. As denoted by the colorway, this pair yields a black upper accented by a white swoosh, purple laces, white logo on the tongue, purple Kobe signature on the heel, and a white mid-sole. Kobe Bryant put on a show last night with his 40 points as the Lakers cruised by the Magic with a 100-75 win in game 1 of the NBA Finals. Though his performance was stellar, his sneakers weren’t too bad either. Last night, Kobe laced up a new colorway of his signature sneaker, the  Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4). Though Kobe has worn a plethora of GR colorways upto now, he walked onto the court last night with a special, Kobe exclusive ZKIV. This pair featured a white base with forum blue accents seen on the mid-sole, heel, inner lining, and toe box, while gold accents are visible via the out-sole, the Kobe signature, the logo on the tongue, and the text on the sneaker which refers back to some of Kobe’s accomplishments, such as his 61 point performance at Madison Square Garden earlier this year. Unfortunately, these will most likely never make their way to retailers, but be sure to check back to see what Kobe will be rocking in games 3 and 4.

After seeing the first look at the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) MLK Player Exclusive, we have come up with an update of the purple/gold/white shoe. The Nike Zoom Kobe IV MLK, the ZK4’s that KB24 wore on MLK day, are House of Hoops exclusives, and will be for sale this Friday, May 8th, at the shady HOH. These shoes are the first Kobe’s to feature the gradient design on the toebox, and having gold as the secondary color sure helps make this basketball shoe a collector’s item. So be sure to get in line early for the ZK4’s so you can own a piece of NBA history.

After seeing multiple variations of the Nike Zoom Kobe Iv (4) commemorating different occasions, this Nike Zoom Kobe IV is certainly special not only to us, but to the signature man himself. The ZK4 Gold Medal edition commemorates #10 of the U.S.A. Men’s Olympic Basketball team, who took the gold this past summer of 2008. Thus, the idea for this gold shoe was born. The shoe features the team colors of white, blue, and red o nthe side panel, tongue, and laces, and is contrasted by the gold on the toe area and heel. The trademark Kobe symbol is found on the tongue with “10″ embedded on the back ankle tab and a gold medal printed on the insole. These shoes are great for any baller or collector, so look out for these golden babies.

In the process of selling ankle insurance and breaking out the Zoom Kobe IV (4), Nike has drawn up another sneaker for Kobe Bryant to wear the Dream Season. This is quite possibly the dream season for Bryant who are the favorites to win this year’s NBA Championship. The Dream Season features a white leather upper with gold trim and purple accents. Bryant’s finishing touches are also included on the Dream Season with the Lakers guard’s autograph on the heel as well as KB24. Expect the Dream Season to release in this colorway as a few others this Fall and Winter.

Nike Basketball has some fire in store of Fall/Winter 2009. During this quarter Nike plans on releasing a few retros as well as a plethora of new shoes. First up, and probably the one that many people are looking forward to, is the re-release (retro) of the Air Garnett III. The AG III is going to be released in both the white and black versions, which both have accents of blue that originally represented the colors of Kevin Garnett’s first team the Minnesota Timberwolves

Earlier this year, we showcased the Nike Think Pink collection which was composed of the Nike Hyerdunk and the Nike Blue Chip Low. Both sneakers were worn by players across the country in honor of the great Kay Yow who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, and eventually passed away in late January. This Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) draws from the same inspiration, and features a full pink upper with white accents and a white translucent sole. Whether the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) – Think Pink is simply a sample pair which was planned to release with the Nike Think Pink Collection, or if it will release in the future is still unknown, so stay tuned for updates.
