That’s right ladies and gentleman, the NBA All Star weekend is finally here. NBA All Star weekend provides all hoop fans with a time to watch some of the best basketball players in the world go out and have fun. For this year, Nike has decked out their top athletes with some of the hottest gear on the market. Ranging from Lebron James’ Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) – All Star Game all the way to the eco-friendly Nike Zoom MVP Trash Talk – All Star Game, Nike will definitely be well represented this weekend. A couple other notable sneakers worth checking out are the Nike Huarache ‘09, the Nike Zoom Kobe IV, and the Air Jordan CP3 II. Nike Hyperdunk x Zoom Kobe IV (4) Hybrid - Los Angeles Lakers Away

Kobe Bryant was Nike’s main advocate for the Hyperdunk as he endorsed the sneakers in commercials before breaking out his own Zoom Kobe IV (4). Nike fused the two early on in the NBA season as Bryant was seen in this hybrid sneaker that consists of Flywire technology and the sole of the ZKIV. Featured is the colors of the Los Angeles Lakers away jerseys which consists of black, white, purple, and gold. Black is the main color while yellow is found on the Flywire, swoosh border and accents. Purple and white are the other two colors making up this hybrid and appear on the swoosh and midsole. Unfortunately, release has yet to be confirmed, but it doesn’t look like these will see the light of day at retailers. Via HK-Kicks.

Earlier today, Kobe Bryant and his fellow Los Angeles Lakers came to Quicken Loans Arena to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Though Kobe Bryant was reported to be ill and needed intravenous fluids at halftime, his Lakers pulled through with a 101-91 victory with notable performances from Odom and Gasol. Though the game was exciting, the true excitement was brought while sneakerheads compared the two supertars’ sneaker choices. Lebron James showed up with a new Fairfax Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6), while Kobe started the game with the Carpe Diem Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) and switched to the Venom KBIV at the quarter break. Even though Bryant’s sneaker switch is quite an interesting topic, most sneakerheads stared in awe at what James was rocking. This is our first look at the Fairfax colorway of the Zoom Lebron VI and it looks quite promising.

Kobe Bryant visited the Footlocker at 34th Street in New York City on Sunday to unveil the Rice Home Nike Zoom Kobe IV(4). Bryant and the relationship have an intimately close relationship, and have worked together in the past to produce limited versions of other Nike Basketball gems including the Nike Hyperdunk, Zoom Kobe II (2), and Zoom Kobe III (3). The Flywired lowtop is crafted carefully in a white/green/yellow color scheme that’ll be available in uber-limited quantities at Footlocker’s House of Hoops sometime later this year. Via Footlocker.

While battling against rival candidate for MVP Lebron James last night in Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant was seen wearing this pair of Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) dubbed Mamba. Bryant continues to run with his “Mamba” nickname which has contributed to several details found on past models as well as the most recent. Gold scales are found around the ankle and on the front of the sneaker which is revealed by a purple design which fades into white. Other notables include metallic gold accents completing the modified Lakers look. As to whether or not this pair is a Player Exclusive or not is still a mystery, but check back for further updates.
