In anticipation of what seems like will be the first Nike Zoom Kobe V to release, we showed you detailed pictures of the “Chaos” colorway dropping in December. But we’ve also had a very small preview of a pair of the Nike Zoom Kobe V that would be laced up during away games. Many have trouble seeing major differences between the Nike Zoom Kobe IV and V, however, a large part of what makes this “away” Kobe V different from its Kobe IV counterpart are the materials used. The Kobe V “away” boasts reflective reptile print in both black and purple, with a more evident Flywire finish on the mid-panel and even mesh on the upper heel. Check out the detailed pictures after the jump, and stay tuned for official release information as soon as it becomes available.

In July, we caught a few glimpses of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV “MVP” colorway. However, since then, it seems as though the Nike team felt Kobe’s achivements during the past basketball season needed to be celebrated in a slightly more exclusive way. To that extent, Nike created eight pairs of a special edition Zoom Kobe IV MVP that possesses slight alterations/additions. First off, the shoes come in a lasered suitcase equipped with medal of authenticity. Moreover, a set of wooden shoe trees have also been added, along with an extra Kobe logo towards the outer sides of the toe box. As we mentioned before, only eight of these super exclusive MVP Nike Zoom Kobe IVs were produced, so don’t get your hopes up at all.

Two weeks ago we informed our readers that the “Chaos,” one of the first colorways to release of the Nike Zoom Kobe V, would be dropping the day after Christmas of 2009. Although it seems as though all the hype behind the Kobe IV is only now starting to die down, Nike doesn’t seem like it wants to wait any longer, so it’s getting the ball rolling with the Kobe V just before the end of this year. If you’re still unsure about whether or not this pair is of your liking, pictures have surfaced on the internet that’ll allow you a closer look at all the detailing that went in to the Nike Zoom Kobe V “Chaos.” So enjoy the pictures after the jump, and use them to decide whether or not you’ll be purchasing these with all the Christmas money you get (or are left with after spoiling everyone else).

Celebrity Sneaker Sightings - Kobe Bryant on Lopez Tonight

Mr. Four Rings is not a man who appears much on talk shows, but longtime friend and funny-man George Lopez just happened to be lucky to welcome the Black Mamba to his new talk show, Lopez Tonight. Kobe Bryant presented Lopez with his own pair of Chaos Nike Zoom Kobe V’s, while rocking a pair himself, along with a fresh Nike zipup. A lot of mixed feelings have been aimed at the fifth model of Kobe’s signature shoe, but seeing them in an actual shot, and on #24, is sure to have us thinking positively. Be sure to check out the interview here.

Towards the end of last month, the SneakerFiles crew brought you word of a rather “chaotic” colorway execution on the Nike Zoom Kobe V. For those of you who liked that particular colorway, we would like to now report of a planned Foot Locker/House of Hoops release date of Saturday December 26, 2009 for these bad boys. With a white and red speckled midsole, lime green Nike swoosh and outsole, and chameleon upper, this shoe actually appears to sport navy blue or purple on the mid panels- depending on how the light reflects off of the shoe at different angles. How many of you have switched sides on this shoe and now either want to buy/pass up? We will update you with release information if anything new comes up.

On top of the “Chaos” Nike Zoom Kobe V we saw earlier today, images of two new upcoming colorways of Bryant’s latest signature sneaker have hit the web. In White/Black/Purple and Black/Varsity Maize, both color schemes have been featured on a majority of Kobe’s previous models –  and with good reason, the simple pallets often proving to create some of the most popular colorways. Expected to release either later this year or in early 2010, stay tuned for more detailed information to come.
