Lower Merion High School is the site where Kobe Bryant first showed signs of greatness. He was notoriously known for dominating the opposing school’s by himself and scoring profusely. Nike and Kobe Bryant have kept their hands busy with the new releases of the Zoom Kobe III, but have recently just released a limited edition Zoom Kobe I Quickstrike just for China Nike accounts. This Nike Zoom Kobe I features the one of the traditional Kobe color-ways, White and Purple.

Nike has created a series of models designed for a few select players who are participating in the upcoming Summer Olympic games including, Manu Ginobili, Dirk Nowitzki and Yi Jianlian. Kobe Bryant can now join the small group with the creation of the PE Hyperdunk. The latest Nike Zoom Kobe 3 pays homage to Kobe Bryant’s high school of Lower Merion where he emerged as one of the best players to ever make the jump from high school to the NBA.

Shortly after creating the All-Star edition Nike Zoom Kobe 3, Nike designs this particular model based after one of the Los Angeles Laker’s throwback uniforms.

Grey, White and Light Blue is used to match the jersey originally worn by Minneapolis Lakers and worn by Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers only a few years ago. Available at select Nike accounts in Asia, but nothing has been reported on the U.S release date. Via UNIK.

Kobe Bryant will be one of the starting guards for the Western Conference All Stars and he will be wearing these All Star edition Nike Zoom Kobe III’s. The Red and Gold seen on the Kobe III match the new West jersey. All Star weekend will take place in New Orleans and will start on February 15th. Via Ken Lu.

To accommodate the 2008 Olympic Games being held in Beijing, China Nike will release a Zoom Kobe 3 and LeBron Soldier 2 in traditional USA color schemes.
