In December we were informed that a black/collegiate red colorway of the adidas Top Ten high was hitting FootLocker retailers in December for those looking to ring in the new year ready to play ball. Now it seems as though the next installment in the Top Ten adidas line will get another straightforward colorway- but with a different twist. Pictured here is an adidas Top Ten high in a black/white colorway that has recently hit select adidas retailers. However, upon closer examination of this shoe, you will find what resembles a crocodile-patterned texture reaching from just before the toe box back to the heel of the shoe. The toe box itself is done up in perforated black leather and the toe cap in black nubuck. White accents this shoe by covering the entire sole in it, as well as most of the tongue and ankle area. Does the crocodile-like texture make this a better looking shoe? Does it make it less likely for you to ball in?

In 2010, adidas seems prepared to continue taking care of its NBA stars and the casual baller. But don’t think it’ll focus any less on its trainer sneakers. The adidas ZX500 pictured here comes in a predominantly black upper combination of patent leather and suede throughout the toe box, mid panels, and heel. The patented adidas stripes come in grey, while the sole comes in what resembles a rainbow pattern. In fact, a similar pattern can be found underneath the shoe and on the shoe laces as well. Select adidas retailers are expected to receive pairs of this adidas ZX500 “Rainbow” soon, if they haven’t already. adidas has been treating its team of NBA representatives very well this NBA season. So far, we’ve seen a particularly nice pair of the TS Commander LT for Tim Duncan, a Christmas special TS Supernatural Commander for Dwight Howard, and a TS Supernatural Commander for “the Big Ticket,” Kevin Garnett. Now, images have surfaced providing a close look at the adidas TS Bounce Commander III in a white/blue/purple/gold (home) colorway designed for sharpshooter Peja Stojakovich of the New Orleans Hornets. The patented adidas touch of sometimes placing the NBA star’s initials on some of the Player Exclusives applies this time as well- as you can see the shoe finished off with number 16’s “PS” initials on the shoe’s tongue. Whenever you hear about the Adidas Metro Attitude, you know the shoe will live up to its name. The Adidas Metro Attitude Hi comes in a colorful white/black/green/blue colorway, utilizing a white leather base to mix nicely with the other colors. The offsetting colors are set using premium leather to make for a premium shoe. Adidas have been really taking a bite out of nature and placing it in their shoes, especially after their collaboration with Ransom. This time, the Adidas Boston Super gets the treatment with the Outdoor Adventure Pack. The Adidas Boston Super comes in three vibrant colorways that are inspired by Mother Nature. To really convey the outdoor feel, these runners are styled after boots, using thick boot laces and mountainous tongue tags. Nylon mesh and suede cover these shoes in their respective colorways, making for a nice set of sneakers to release this year. Be sure to see this come through sometime soon this year.

If you haven’t noticed, Adidas have really been doing big things to start of 2010 with a bang. Lately, they have been fusing their sneakers with modern style. The latest product is the Adidas Desert Boot, which comes in three fashionable colorways. All three boots use full suede uppers in their respective colorways, except for the blue pair, which chooses to have a nylon tongue. The classic adidas 3-stripes is given a modern makeover, as it is perforated on these shoes. These chukka-styled boots are definitely bold, so let us know if they’re a success this year.

Last month we showed you a pair of the Reebok Answer XIII in a Western Conference colorway that had been readied for the NBA All-Star game while Allen Iverson was still playing for the Memphis Grizzlies. So, it is apparently not too early to start thinking about what other NBA All-Star sneaker silhouettes/colorways might look like. To that extent, we bring you a look at both the Eastern and Western conference pairs of the adidas Concord mid designed for the 2010 NBA All-Star game. While the Eastern Conference pair comes in a white/blue color-up, the Western Conference one sports a black/red colorway. Both pairs are accompanied with matching three-tone laces and gold accents including “2010″ reading vertically down on the back.
