Converse has been busy in the kitchen whipping up a series of Quilted Chucks to sell exclusively at Finishline. With a similar patent leather colorway debuting a few weeks ago, this new model is a little less goth-centric. The Quilted Low tops they released in July are bound to appeal to a larger general audience, but if the Red-on-Black color scheme strikes a chord with you, the model is available from Finishline now for around $60.

Another collaboration between Converse and Huf has surfaced; this time, as the Huf x Converse Red Skidgrip. The shoe features a black canvas upper with an allover Huf “H” print. It has a vulcanized white midsole with the Huf logo in black towards the back. The Converse logo is found on the tongue tag in between two red laceholes. Also, the back ankle tab rocks an embroidered white panel to add some more flavor to the black base shoe.

Parra is no new name when it comes to sneaker collaborations. The independent Holland-based artist has teamed up with Vans and Nike multiple times in the past, and we now have a look at his latest collaboration with Converse. To celebrate a BBQ event in Berlin that will take place tomorrow, Converse has called upon Parra for a new colorway of their classic high-top model. This pair features a white upper accented by a blue bratwurst image that has “Simply The Wrust” on it. Unfortunately, the Parra x Converse Chuck Taylor High was only made in limited quantities and will be given away to friends and family at the aforementioned BBQ.

Converse Music Collaboration Fall 2009 - AC/DC & Metallica

Converse is doing it big with big names in the rock music industry. The shoe company is going “back in black” with AC/DC and even blacker with Metallica. As part of Converse’s Music Collaboration for Fall 2009, four Chuck Taylor All Star Specialty Hi’s will be released; two for AC/DC and two for Metallica. A black/white and red/white pair are dedicated to the former, and a black/multi and white/black pair are saved for the latter. Each shoe has a canvas upper and a white midsole. The AC/DC’s are available now for $55 and $50 respectively. The Metallica’s will be released July 1st for $50 each.
