Converse has recently been in the news lately with the Curt Kobain collection and have released a new Chuck Taylor High which featuring a simple solid Gold upper, contrasting stitching and the new addition of a pull out zipper at the back. This seems like a new way to reinvent their most recognized model. The new Converse Chuck Taylor High hasn’t been seen in the US yet, but has hit Hong Kong Converse retailers and sellers on eBay.

Converse honors the late great Kurt Cobain through a collection of shoes which have been inspired by his artwork and scribbles borrowed from his personal journal. Included are the Chuck Taylor All Star, Jack Purcell and One Star shoes, the shoes that were most often seen being worn by Kurt Cobain.

March Madness is in full effect and Dwayne Wade’s former college, Marquette has made it out of a tough first round. Converse will be releasing the WADE Team Signature, which has been a simplified version of the Wade 3. Converse has also turned Marquette for the inspiration of the look of shoe including the use of team’s logo and colors.

Converse is celebrating their 100th Anniversary with the One Star Low and Chuck Taylor High inspired by Kurt Cobain, and we have a glimpse of the upcoming collaboration. Originally released in 1940, Converse has brought back the Skidgrip for their 100th anniversary. The Converse Skidgrip reappears in two color-ways, a multicolored and an American Flag model. In addition, they have applied a vintage look which sports a worn-out sole, however they seem to be just following the current vintage trend. Both color-ways have been released for their Spring ‘08 line and are available at Shoe-Planet.
