Jeff Staple’s iconic Pigeon logo and colorway appears once again in a collaboration involving Converse’s Sea Star. The sneakers are constructed out of leather and suede on the upper with a rip-stop collar and finished off with the unmistakable grey, red, white and black color scheme with the Pigeon found on the tongue. Though this Sea Star may not be as limited as past Staple releases, expect them to go fast. Release is scheduled for this Saturday, February 7th at retailers including Kicks/HI.

Isaiah “JR” Rider was different from the outset. After being drafted fifth overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1993 draft, Rider confidently told hoops analyst Craig Sager, (Before the bizarre and suit combinations apparently…) “If I get in the Slam Dunk Contest, I guarantee I’m taking it. I’m telling everybody right now.” An impertinent statement for a rook, but consider this: JR was a seasoned veteran and tireless competitor on the turbulent asphalt in Oakland, California. After two seasons at a junior college, Rider was plucked from relative obscurity by Tark “The Shark”, becoming one of the many legendary playground imports to lend support to the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels blacktop brigade.

Who doesn’t like a good pair of glow in the dark sneakers? Nike started the glow in the dark sneaker craze a while ago with their Nike Dunk High, and now Converse is stepping up and releasing their very own glow in the dark All Star Owari-Shippo High. Featuring a light yellow upper accented by a pink Converse logo, a blue midsole, yellow inner lining, and blue accents, this pair doesn’t seem too special at first look. But once the lights are off, all the light yellow aspects of the sneaker turn into a glow in the dark neon green color. Check out how the sneaker looks when the lights are turned on after the ‘jump.’ These are now available at Undefeated Chapter Stores in Japan.

Converse recently consorted with Original Jams to produce a vibrant, ’80s surf-inspired version of the Skidgrip Mid. The hightop casual is a multicolored affair, as it combines shamelessly combines neon green, orange, powder blue, neon yellow, and periwinkle together.
