Converse looks to release some very unique models this month for their Japanese line.  Eight different pairs are part of the collection, including some All-Star His, Lows, and  Jack Purcell Slip-On’s. Several pairs have Japanese influences behind them, while others don’t. The Jack Purcell Slip-Ons feature a special toe cap, which gives them a little extra flavor.  Also, two of the All-Star Hi’s use wrinkled patent leather, while the other two feature triple stitching on the upper.  Be on the lookout for this collection to release later this month at Converse Japan retailers.

It’s been a while since news about the Converse Wade has been released or even heard, now here comes some pictures of the Converse Wade 4 Sample. With people mostly focused on Jordan, Kobe, and Lebron shoe releases, Wade’s Converse releases are usually overlooked (much like his playing in the NBA). The color scheme on these are simple and straightforward, predominately white and black and red accents, and are a definite reflection of the Miami Heat colors. For any die-hard Wade fans cross your fingers in hopes that these show up on online auction sites.

Here’s a look at a limited edition Converse Rivalry Pack, releasing this Saturday at KICKS/HI, created by Converse to commemorate the legendary ’80s rivalry between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers, and specifically between the teams’ respective stars Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, who were both of the Converse camp. Both pairs in the pack are composed of predominantly black uppers and white midsoles; the low pair features Lakers’ colorways, while the high pair exhibits the Celtics’ iconic white and green.

Converse continues their collection with Black Sabbath front-man Ozzy Osbourne with a different concept in mind. Designed after a straight jacket, this Jack Purcell High is fully equipped with a white canvas upper and brown straps forming from the front to the heel. Converse also decides to take their all over print featuring cartooned version of Ozzy on the inner lining as opposed to the outside as seen in yesterdays Chuck Taylor All Star post. Converse have honored several legendary musicians and groups like The Grateful Dead and Kurt Cobain in the last year, but have now joined forces with Ozzy Osbourne. Osbourne is still going strong in music game till this day and 40 years later, he has partnered up with Converse to release this Chuck Taylor.
