To branch out, Japanese clothing brand “Comme des Garçons” has teamed up with Converse to make the Play Chuck Taylor Pack, featuring CdG’s line “Play.” The key element of Play is the heart symbol, which is printed in red on the off-white and black Chuck Taylor high’s and low’s. The canvas chucks feature the heart symbol on the outer side panels and the Converse Chuck crest is stitched instead of printed on the opposite side. The off-white pair of Chuck’s have a black heel panel to contrast the shoes main color, and the black pair follows suit with an off-white heel panel. Be sure to get these Chuck’s, especially if you’re a fan of the Inspi(RED) Converse line.

With their ticket punched to this years NCAA March Madness Tournament, Marquette will be going to the big dance with laced up with the Converse WADE Slash. As you may recall Dwyane Wade led Marquette to the Final Four in his Sophomore year only to lose to Kansas who later lost to Carmelo Anthony’s Syracuse. The Converse WADE Slash is outfitted in a black nubuck and yellow croc embossing in reference to the WADE 1, the sneaker Wade wore when he led his team to the NBA Championship 4 years ago. Unfortunately, the Marquette Player Exclusive WADE Slash is not scheduled to release publicly, but other colorways of the sneaker are now available.

Converse continues their newest trend of honoring legendary music artists, and now Pink Floyd, an English Rock band, is getting their own colorway of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars. Featuring a black upper with the cover art from Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of The Moon” album running across the sneaker from front to rear, this pair yields an overall clean and simple look. To contrast with this simplicity, Converse has added a white heartbeat graphic on the midsole. The Pink Floyd x Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars are set to hit certain retailers in South East Asia in the upcoming weeks.

The next shoe under works by Converse is the Chuck Taylor All Star “grass stain” sample. These Chucks are in all white canvas with a white midsole, the look of a regular pair of white chucks. The difference this time is that the bottom part of the shoes is stained with grass! That’s right, the bottom part of the shoes has been dyed with green coloring to portray the look of shoes that were freshly stained with grass. If you’re digging these chucks then hope that they’ll produce them for general release.

Slowly but surely, Converse is infiltrating the skateboarding market with the launch of their Cons Skateboarding line. The most creation from their SB division is the Chocolate Pack which consists of the Pro Leather Skate 2 Ox and the Revere Ox. Each sneaker is made up of either leather or suede with green or tan accents as well as a gum sole. However there may be more details behind the sneakers which appear to have a graphic of a lobster behind the tongue of the Pro Leather Skate 2 Ox as seen in the third picture. Both pairs are now available at In4mation.

Converse looks to release some very unique models this month for their Japanese line.  Eight different pairs are part of the collection, including some All-Star His, Lows, and  Jack Purcell Slip-On’s. Several pairs have Japanese influences behind them, while others don’t. The Jack Purcell Slip-Ons feature a special toe cap, which gives them a little extra flavor.  Also, two of the All-Star Hi’s use wrinkled patent leather, while the other two feature triple stitching on the upper.  Be on the lookout for this collection to release later this month at Converse Japan retailers.
