A Bathing Ape Roadsta - Laminated

Nigo’s Bathing Ape troupe is alive and kickin’ (albeit on a smaller, more regionalized scale) and just released a laminated version of their once-popular Roadsta. The laminate detailing is essentially a patent sheen, and it works effectively with the runner’s pastel white/yellow/powder blue/pink schema. The Bape Roadsta “Laminate” is available now at A Bathing Ape flagship stores worldwide.

Bape 16th Anniversary Roadsta

To celebrate sixteen years of bathing apes, Bape has released 6 pairs of Bape Roadstas 16th Anniversary in combinations of pink, yellow, purple, blue, orange, and red colorways aside from the anniversary tee shirts. The Roadsta’s are made entirely of patent leather on the uppers, each with white midsoles with the air bubble. Of course the eclectic selection of colors is what makes these Bapes, but this time, for the sake of a celebration, a fiery text that reads an underlined “16″ is featured on the back heel. These Roadsta’s are definitely great additions to any collector’s army, especially at a price of $180 each. Available now on Bape.

A Bathing Ape Skullsta - Three New Colorways

As A Bathing Ape shifts their attention from one season to another, they release the Skullsta in three new colorways. The Skullsta takes cues from adidas’ shell toe sneakers, but includes A Bathing Ape’s modifications as they have done in the past with Nike and Puma sneakers. However, you won’t find the three stripes design as you would on a pair of adidas’. Included in the new drop are pastel based color schemes which include green/yellow, pink/green, orange/white. Each sneaker features a full colored upper except for the star logo which features the secondary color. Lastly, the Skullsta comes with fat laces to complete the throwback look. Now available online at Bape.

Bape Web Store Announced

The apocalypse is upon us! Bape recently announced that they’d be opening up an online webstore, where presumably, you can go to purchase the latest from Nigo’s ultra-limited, overdesigned products at exorbitant prices. Bathing Ape pundits add that the independent company might be struggling to stay afloat in these times of economic struggle–what do you think? Is the digital store a calculated move, an attempt at maximizing profits in a time of financial downturn or has the brand finally decided to aid customers looking for product? Either way, I’m still wearing my FAPE “Ape Shall Not Kill Ape” polos I scooped on the ‘net from Taiwan. Via hs.
