A Bathing Ape has done just about everything they can with their signature Bapesta line, until now. They have just released a very unique slip-on hybrid that combines sneakers and sandals. The slip-on features traditional Bape styles including bright coors and patterns made up of blue stripes, red polka dots and a yellow Bapesta logo. Bape has started to release their Summer 2008 line, and so far we have two models, the Bape Roadsta and a Bapesta Sandal. As the Roadsta is gaining ground, and with each release is becoming more popular, A Bathing Ape will launch a rainbow of color-ways. A Bathing Ape has being doing pretty big things lately and have shown us a few things to talk about. Here’s a preview of the latest Bapesta that sports a simple design, but is complimented with a monogram styled design on the star logo seen at the side of the shoe. Overall, its a simple shoe that drifts away from A Bathing Ape’s signature designs and styles, however that is what so good about this model. The reoccurring theme that has been pretty evident is less is more, among the major sneaker companies. A Bathing Ape has just released a set of solid gold and silver Bapesta’s and Roadsta’s, a similar design used in the David Z and Asics collaboration. Nevertheless, the sneakers are pretty appealing and very stylish. The exterior is very sleek and perfect for the Summer. All four sneakers are now available at Bape retailers.

With the Los Angeles A Bathing Ape store well under way, the Japanese company also delivers three new Bapestas that feature a denim theme. Rumors of a Bape Store opening in Los Angeles have been up in the air for awhile and now the store has officially been announced to be opening soon. An exclusive commemorative t-shirt is expected to be sold with the opening of the store, like many of the past openings. The Bape Los Angeles store is set to be opening on April 25th on Melrose, home to some of the best stores LA has to offer.
