Last we heard from A Bathing Ape they were revving up for the release of another URSUS, this time in a low-top cut. Now, A Bathing Ape is welcoming the Fall 2009 season with “Ostrich” leather detailing on their classic Bapesta’s. Releasing in brown/black/white, red/baby blue/white, and all-white colorways, these Bapesta’s can now be scooped up at participating Bape retailers nation- and worldwide. Less than two months ago we came across an URSUS Bape sneaker release that came in the form of a high-top resemblance to the Converse Chuck Taylor. It seems as though the URSUS Bape line has prepared a sibling sneaker to complement the aforementioned shoe. The sneaker pictured here actually comes in a lighter grey and is a low-cut design. Most other touches follow the same execution as on the high-top pair. Certain URSUS Bape retailers, including those online, have begun to receive these- so don’t miss your opportunity to purchase because no one knows how long that chance will last.

On top of the two NYC and LA exclusive ‘Tiger’ Bapestas we showed you last week, Bape has released another all-Black version of the limited edition sneaker. Dubbed the ‘Black Tiger’, the model features a patent leather blacked-out upper and Grey/White/Red tiger graphic on the heel panel. Like its two tiger motif predecessors, the model is available exclusively from Bape flagship stores in New York and Los Angeles.

Bape is still showing love for the U.S. stores in New York and Los Angeles by releasing a few more colorways of the Bapesta which will be exclusive to the aforementioned stores. The Bape Bapesta Store Colors are featured in two colorways to represent each store. LA rocks a very Lakers-esque colorway, with a white leather upper consisting of purple and blue patent leather panels, and yellow on the star, lace area, and outsole. The NY edition sports a less vibrant colorway of white, purple, silver, and black. The white leather upper is contrasted by purple and black patent leather, along with a silver star to go along with the lace area and outsole. These colorways, along with other store colorways, are available today at Bape LA and NY.

By now, our loyal fans must have peeped the Bapesta Tiger Exclusives. But try this new experiment from A Bathing Ape on for size. The Five Sta shoes in this post retain the iconic A Bathing Ape star logo/design but everything from the upper to the sole borrows cues from a more athletic silhouette- namely the one New Balance has become famously known for. Made of both suede and mesh materials, we know of at least three colorways dropping: black/grey/white, multi-tonal brown/white, and white/grey. I would say this sneaker does a heck of a job at mixing “the best of both worlds-” the Bape style and an aesthetic geared towards running/training. But what do you guys think? Bape U.S. is stepping it up with two U.S. exclusives in the form of two colorways for the Bape Bapesta. The Bape Bapesta Tiger comes in white/purple and white/black colorways, both using patent leather for the purple and black parts. The Bape star uses regular leather and strikes across the Tiger print at the heel. Both shoes use white midsoles and outsoles that sport the offsetting colors. The purple pair is a Los Angeles exclusive, and the other is exclusive to Bape NY; both released today.

Bape brings its Puma Clyde inspired ‘Crepe‘ sneaker back for three new Fall colorways. Seeing releases in Brown, Navy, and Black, the sneaker features a suede upper, off-white midsole, and fat laces. The simple silhouette makes the model one of the easiest Bapes to wear, and given that most of their most recent releases haven’t sat well with a large part of the sneaker community (excluding that wicked Ghostbusters collection), it may be an attempt to get back to basics. All three colorways are available now from Bape flagship stores.
