To join in on the festivities surrounding Air Jordan’s 25th anniversary, Footlocker have released their own “The History of Air Jordan” online feature, much like the “History of Flight” feature set up by Nike. The “History of Air Jordan” features all numbered jays from 1-2009, with a brief detailed historical description of each, along with a fitting picture of the shoe, and shoes influenced by the silhouette that are available for purchase at Footlocker. Our trusted readers and followers will remember that towards the beginning of this month we reported that the AJ IV and XI are rumored to be at least two Air Jordan silhouettes releasing in the Silver Anniversary colorway. Now, much like the Air Jordan I Silver Anniversary has been made available for purchase very early (and thus at a more expensive price), the AJ XI Silver Anniversary (in sizes 8-11, 12, 13) has also been made available for purchase early at a going rate of $298. How many of you are going to jump on the opportunity to give a fellow sneakerhead (or yourself) perhaps the most unexpected Christmas present of all time? The latest Jordan Brand ‘hybrid’ model takes the shape of an rugged Air Jordan IV inspired cross trainer called the Air Jordan Expedition. JB has been received a lot of mixed feedback for their most recent basketball hybrid efforts — perhaps the reason for this exploration into a new branch of Nike ACG-esque footwear. Fitted with a fail-safe Black/Red colorway, the model features an AJIV-inspired mid panel, visible air bag, and speckled laces. Back in September we brought you a look at a Rip Hamilton player exclusive pair of the Air Jordan Hallowed Ground that several of our readers seemed to take a liking to. It comes with “RIP CITY” stitched on the tongue and a Detroit Pistons white/varsity red/varsity blue colorway. Although it’s a little later than expected, this shoe is now slated for an official release this Saturday, December 19, 2009 from select Jordan Brand retailers, including, of course, House of Hoops locations nationwide. Once again, Mr. Carter (no not Weezy) comes through with another Air Jordan sample preview, showing us readers just how vast Carter1203’s AJ collection really is. The latest in Carter’s army is the Air Jordan XI (11) Low Retro Women’s, which comes in a white/pine green-zest-varsity red colorway. These lowtop women’s shoes are unreleased samples from 2007, and features all the characteristics of the typical Air Jordan XI Low Retro, such as the suede cement panel, translucent outsole, and vertically stitched side panel. The Air Jordan symbol is stitched in red to match the outsole panels, along with a zest yellow inner lining to go along with the contrast cement print. This shoe would have been a colorful addition to any lady’s collection, but for now, you can just appreciate them on your computer screen.

Hong Kong film superstar and co-founder of Hong Kong-based clothing heads CLOT, Edison Chen, has always been a neck breaker in the Far East. At the Juice Shanghai Grand Opening Party, Mr. Chen is spotted decked out in a full CLOT outfit, along with a fresh pair of white cement Air Jordan Force Fusion IVs. The shoes are definitely heads or tails, but it’s a nice touch to the man’s outfit. Edison Chen makes it clear that anyone is able to rock jays no matter where you’re from.

In November we brought you word of a black/silver pair of the Air Jordan Melo M6 hitting Jordan retailers nationwide. Pictured here is the newest colorway of what is the sixth shoe from Carmelo Anthony’s signature sneaker line under Jordan Brand. It comes in a predominantly white upper with yellow and university blue accents that make this shoe match perfectly with the Denver Nuggets home uniform colors. Under the sneaker you will also find that it reads “AU-79/08,” which refers to the Olympic gold medal Carmelo earned as part of the USA basketball team. And Carmelo’s jersey number, 15, can also be seen near the ankle area in university blue and yellow outlining on the inner side of the sneaker. However, this release is exclusive to Foot Locker House of Hoops locations, so you might have a slightly more difficult time snagging a pair of this Air Jordan Melo M6, which went on sale yesterday.
