Nearly two weeks ago, Nike launched the second installment of their Future Sole Design Competition. Concocted by Jordan Brand Design Director D’Wayne Edwards, Future Sole is open to aspiring artists between the ages of 14-19. Renderings from entrants are evaluated by the voting public and some of Jordan Brand and the Swoosh’s top flight creators. Prizes for the contest include $7,000 in design software and supplies, and the finalists get an expenses paid trip to Nike’s Beaverton headquarters to meet with the brand’s in-house designers and developers. Registration began on April 1 and will end on June 1, 2009.

NBA teams will suit up in green colored jersey in respect to the league’s growing involvement with environmental issues starting on April 2nd. The Denver Nuggets will go head to head against the Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklohoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers in their green week which will last from April 2nd till 10th. Home and away make-ups of Carmelo Anthony’s Air Jordan Melo M5 for the week are picture made up of white and green. These are most likely a Player Exclusive designed only for Carmelo and the special week so don’t expect them to be sold anytime soon. Keep an eye out for Carmelo’s M5 during Green Week.

Even though the Jordan Brand holiday season doesn’t begin for another 8 months (October 2009) that doesn’t mean that the planning for it hasn’t already begun. Sneakerfiles.com has some scans of the proposed releases that will be seen during the 2009 holiday season. One of the highlights for the holiday season is Jordan Spiz’ike Boot, which takes on all of the ruggedness of the other Nike boots and adds the styling of the Jordan Spiz’ike. Another is the Air Jordan 1 Phat Premier since it takes on the colorways of various metropolitan cities such as Detroit, Cleveland, Boston, and Atlanta. Also make sure to be on the look out for the Jordan Melo M6, which will also be making its introduction during the 2009 holiday season. Be sure to save some of your money for this holiday season since Jordan Brand will definitely be coming out with something that will make you spend your hard earned cash. Not too long ago, we gave you A Look At Carmelo Anthony’s Collection, and we now have detailed pictures of some of the other Air Jordans made exclusively for Anthony. These player exclusives range from colorways inspired by Melo’s alma mater, Syracuse University, all the way to colorways taking inspiration from Anthony’s current NBA team, the Denver Nuggets.
