We have not seen too many colorways for the CP3 II yet, but we assure you more are on the way. This pair features a black and white upper with teal accents found on the heel, inner lining, sole, and tongue. Contrasting with the fairly simple upper is the intricate teal detailing on the heel which represents Paul’s journey to becoming an NBA star. Expect for this Air Jordan CP3 II to drop in the upcoming months.

However, for this Air Jordan CP3 II it draws inspiration from not only from the city of New Orleans, but Paul himself whose logo appears on the tongue as well as “61″ on the heel in reference to number of points CP3 scored after the passing of his grandfather. In addition to the black, court purple, orion blue and sun-stone color scheme, shiny patent leather and stitching complete the festive look. The Air Jordan CP3 II is slated to release on March 3rd, but retailers like Kix-Files have got their hands on a pair early.

Jordan Brand has made an Air Jordan 2009 Player Exclusive for each of their athletes participating in the 2009 NBA All Star Game. We have shown you the pairs Ray Allen and Joe Johnson will rock in the ‘09 ASG and it is now time to take a first look at Chris Paul’s AJ 2009 PE. CP3’s pair is very similar to Johnson’s PE and features a white leather upper with white satin panels, a light red midsole and ankle, a deep red blown-glass midsole, and gold accents. Chris Paul has had numerous Air Jordan player exclusives in the past and the newest one to add to his arsenal is this pair which CP3 will be rocking during All Star Weekend beginning February 13, 2009.

Going along with his success on the courts, he has experienced much success in the footwear department as well. On January 26, 2009, the Hornets took on the Philadelphia 76ers when CP3 rocked a player exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan Six Rings. Two games later, Chris Paul stepped onto the courts and surprised fans by actually rocking his own sneaker, the Air Jordan CP3 II. Paul has been known to wear the newest AJ models, but as the release date of his own signature sneaker nears, expect to see Paul rocking the CP3 II more often. This sneaker seems to be inspired by the Air Jordan 23 (XXIII); most noticeably, the CP3 II borrows a stitching pattern on the side that is reminiscent of the Air Jordan 23. Built for one of the flashiest point guards in the NBA, this pair provides padded ankle support while keeping the cut low enough to allow for fluid motion on the basketball court. In just a few seasons, Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets has gone from a lightning fast rookie to a NBA superstar. During his short career, Paul has experienced more than some players do in an entire career including having to leave New Orleans because of Hurricane Katrina. Subsequently, the New Orleans Hornets moved to Oklahoma City and Paul began a new chapter to his career. Upon returning to New Orleans, the Hornets have experienced great success. On November 21, 2008, Chris Paul led his Hornets back into Oklahoma City to face the Thunder. In that game, Paul wore this pair of Air Jordan XX3 (23) PEs that is now being auctioned off on ebay by the CP3 Foundation. This player exclusive features a black upper with light blue accents, topped off with a CP3 logo on the ankle support. This pair is not only game worn, but also autographed by Chris Paul himself.
