Last year we saw a number of Air Jordan IX Retro releases. One of those Retro models were the OG ‘Charcoal’ AJIX.

Today we bring you a good look at a 2004 AJIX PE made for Jason Kidd in the OG colorway. The Retro we received was far different than this PE version. These feature a leather upper with the mudguard wrapped in a charcoal grey patent leather. Kidd’s #5 is embroidered on the heel in red finishing this PE off quite nicely.

Would you have liked to have seen the Charcoal Retro seen here hit retail or were you more than satisfied with the nubuck/ suede combo we received?

  1. I more than happy with the retros that we received. I hate when JB gets all crazy with the patent leather…

  2. Minus the patent leather……. its a good shoe. However, what’s so hard about making an og version of the shoe? Do they really believe we all love furry suede. I saw a charcoal 9 on display at finishing with the black suede turning purple from being on display. Horrible quality. Same as the blk/varsity red 6’s.
