Originally debuted back in 1993, the Air Jordan 9 “Olive” has not seen a retro release since 2002. All of that will change however as the “ugly duckling” of Air Jordan 9 sneakers will make a much anticipated return back to retailers once again in November.
Although this colorway or any other Air Jordan 9 colorway for that matter were never worn on the court by Michael Jordan, the shoe itself has surprisingly gained more popularity in the recent years. Are sneakerheads thinking differently this time around? Or, do you not want to miss out on a piece of history? Whatever the case may be, this year’s retro will stay consistent with its predecessor as we can expect the same leather and nubuck construction. Red detailing along the tongue and back heel will also be seen on the 2012 version, but as seen in the past, some details may change leading up to the November 17th release date.
