The Air Jordan 1 ‘Shattered Backboard’ was inspired by Michael Jordan’s jersey he wore during an exhibition game in Italy back in the 1980s. With that being said, Baltimore Orioles infielder Manny Machado summoned Nomad Customs to design the Air Jordan 6 ‘Shattered Bats’ Cleats.
While there are no ties to Machado and Jordan, we are sure in his time of playing baseball he has shattered some bats. The theme of the Jordan 1s which uses orange, white and black does match the Orioles jersey, so a custom using the nickname is more than fitting.
The other small detail that makes the ‘Shattered Bats’ Air Jordan 6 even more personal is ‘MM13’ on the inside of the tongue, which is his initials and number. Another great piece of work by Nomad Customs.
