Air Jordan 2012 NikeiD Options

With the Air Jordan 2012 set to hit NikeiD, we have our first look at the options available for customization.

As we previously stated, the number of options are almost limitless. Users will have an opportunity to choose between either the low-top or high-top inner sleeve, as well as either the “Fly Through”, “Fly Around” and “Fly Over” midsoles. On top of the performance options, users can customize the appearance through either nubuck or suede for the overlaying panels and a translucent or solid rubber outsole. Finally, color options will be available for all parts of the kicks, including the Flywire skin, Flywire itself and the inner sleeves.

Take a look at some of the ideas pictured here and be sure to hit up NikeiD come February 14.

  1. Hmmmm, still on the fence with these shoes. But this may improve the sitiation. I went to fox hills mall in l.a. to heck out the gray ones on release day…….. Cheap quality and ugly, damn shame. And 230 bucks. Lol

  2. Wow, that black suede and lime green colorway actually made an otherwise ugly shoe look decent. Still a pass at $223 though. oh and… “first”? LOL

  3. I really believe this may be the worst shoe they’ve done so far. Tinker made these……. I couldn’t believe it. He and the others on the Jordan brand team make a pretty good amount of money, so to think “oh they must be running out of ideas”, is not acceptable. It may be that they put performance first and being innovators of new technology in bball shoes, but you can’t tell me its impossible to make a good looking shoe at the same time. That might be tough for someone that doesn’t design shoes, but for someone that is paid to do that for a living, and has been for many years, should be easy. Wouldn’t it be sweet if you could know hands down every year that the new flagship shoe is gonna be great. That people would actually treat the new ones like the retros. Man, its not impossible. I would be willing to bet money that people would take a better looking shoe over extra insoles, towels, shoe trees, and big goofy 3 in one boxes you can’t fit in your closet.

  4. man, i “copped” the unc’s – the 7th legacy “cop” of my career. 1st being og 7 borduexs. I’ve seen and owned ugly jordans… (og 8 aquas, og 21 stealths) BUT hate it or love it – they resonated with ME. as an anti-capitalist, jordan brand is one of the few corporations that have sunk their claws deep inside my psyche an wallet. i am PROUD to say these are the most relevant, ultra, era defining air jordans i have ever seen. i like to call them the jordwalk empires. the michael pitts, the kings (blue suede shoes). all yall “sneakerheads” can despise these all you want but when the average joe looks down at these breathtaking shoes there is no doubt in my mind they will be blown away by the sheer awesomeness of the 2012s. and once it’s revealed to the unsuspecting common folk that they are “air jordans” – their mind will be transported back to the time they caught their first glimpse of an air jordan some 20 odd years ago. that’s power and that’s big picture. its not just about the silouette in these jpgs. its about the legacy. the layers upon layers of detail, craftmenship and devotion towards the greatest sneaks of all time, for the greatest player of all time. the words ugly and fail are simply not compatible with a shoe of this calibur. but hey, thats just my 2 cent.
