In 1985, Michael Jordan played in an exhibition game in Italy and he actually broke the backboard. A new Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG will remember that moment and is known as the ‘Shattered Backboard’.
The Shattered Backboard Air Jordan 1 comes in orange, black and white which mimics the jersey he wore during the game. The best part about the shoes is the insole, which features a partial rim and broken glass all over, referencing when he destroyed the backboard.
For now there isn’t a release date scheduled for the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Shattered Backboard’, but once one becomes available we will of course update you. Below is also the video of Michael Jordan breaking the backboard back in 85.
