As store-in-store concepts continue to emerge, adidas Originals and Footaction are the latest retail giants to partner in an attempt to enhance the customer shopping experience with the grand opening of the new adidas Originals Collective store.
What promises customers premier footwear and apparel products like Foot Locker’s House of Hoops stores, Champs Sports’ Nike Yardline, and the newly introduced Kids Foot Locker Fly Zone, this move by Footaction should help grow their business well into FY 2014.
With locations in Atlanta, New Orleans, and Detroit, it will only be a matter of time until one pops up in your neighborhood. Here’s what Footaction’s high management had to say about the new venture:
”adidas Originals Collective is a new retail experience that will live within select Footaction doors, a unique concept for both brands,” said Simon Atkins, Head of Sport Style Division at adidas Region North America. “adidas Originals Collective will give us a place to introduce new products and concepts that will come to life in the best possible way.”“This ground-breaking synthesis of style from adidas and Footaction, infused with music and musical cues, will create a New York City luxury-inspired design to the world of retail, with mood lighting, high-end woods, metals, and leathers along with rhythms, patterns, and urban influenced details. Custom city colors, street culture-inspired art, typography, interactive digital features, and live in-store performances from feature artists will attract, connect, and inspire like no other. We are constantly developing new and innovative ways to elevate the in-store experience for our customers,” said Stacy Cunningham, Executive Vice President, Marketing for Footaction. “By offering a prominent assortment of adidas Originals product within a dedicated space in our store allows us the opportunity to further engage with our style-savvy customers in an authentic way.”
