As the face of Jordan Brand’s campaign for its new Air Jordan 2010, it’s no surprise that recent JB signee Dwyane Wade is getting his own special version of the shoe. Keeping it simple with a two-tone white and black upper, the model features a ‘WADE’ embroidering on its tongue seam. No word on whether or not the model will make its way to the public, but the Air Jordan 2010 silhouette is scheduled to reach storefronts in black/white/red in February.

What started out as a mere rumor in late September of an Air Jordan 2010 sneak peek is now a complete reality. Many sneakerheads rejoiced once official word got out that Dwyane Wade had become an official Jordan Brand member. After all, Wade would finally be leaving a Converse brand fans did not think was doing the phenomenal basketball player justice. Moreover, becoming a JB member would also perhaps mean more Jordan releases in the traditional “bred” (black/red) colorway OG sneakerheads go simply gaga for. Well, now that Dwyane Wade IS part of Jordan Brand, both of those things have actually become a reality.

ESPN reports that Jordan Brand has specifically chosen Dwyane Wade to be the face of the campaign efforts behind the Air Jordan 2010, which will drop in its first colorway on February 13 of next year, with a $170 retail price tag. The face of the Miami Heat franchise basically since his rookie year, Dwayne Wade now feels humbled and honored to be the team Jordan Brand member chosen to debut the Jordan sneaker that commemorates the brand’s historic 25-year run. Via his Twitter page, #3 expressed his happiness at “standing side by side (with Michael Jordan) as a team.” We would like to congratulate Dwyane Wade on this honor and Michael Jordan on his brand’s success. Recent Jordan Brand signee Dwyane Wade took the court at Chicago, Illnois premier training facility ATTACK Athletics in a black/black/silver pair of the Jordan Element Mid. The shoe features a completely black upper with patent tip, a white midsole, and translucent grey tread pattern and has already released in the United States. It’ll be interesting to see what shoes “Flash” favors when the NBA preseason tips off in October, don’t you think?

Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade is the latest signee to Jordan Brand’s basketball family. An Illinois native, Wade admits that wearing Mike’s shoes is something he’s wanted since he was a kid. He broke out the Jordan 60+ Black/White-Varsity Red at a basketball clinic he hosted in Milwaukee earlier today for disadvantaged children. Expect to see Wade in exclusive Air Jordans this upcoming NBA season and the 60+ on shelves later this Fall.

Former Texas Tech wideout and San Franciso draftee Michael Crabtree joins Miami Heat Dwyane Wade guard as the latest signee to Jordan Brand. The 6′2″, 215 lbs.
