Air Jordan XI (11) – White/ Orange Sample

The Air Jordan XI is quite possibly the most hyped up sneaker besides the Air Yeezy. During its initial debut Jordan fans were not too pleased with the patent leathered look. Soon enough, minds changed and it had solidified the Air Jordan Legacy series as one of the best signature runs of all time.

While we’re sure many colorways of the AJXI have been made and scrapped, this particular pair is very intriguing. The only OG AJXI that featured the classic Chicago colorway was the ‘bred’ XI. The Concord had… well concord (purple), the Space Jam’s featured Royal and the All-Stars were Columbia. This is an OG sample done up in orange patent leather and accents… my initial assumption is that these were possibly made for Spike Lee or possibly even the NBA All-Star Game which was held in Texas and featured orange accents on the White or Blue ‘Home’ & ‘Away’ uniforms.

Whatever the reason, these are one of the many rare gems found within the vaults of Jordan Brand. Perhaps with Carmelo in NY, these may see a comeback…

  1. Would be nice if they had an orange icy bottom

  2. hooooooooorrrrrrrrrriiiiiible

  3. I’m a SF Giants fan (born & raised) and these bad boys would look sick with the Orange jerseys we got last season! These need to be in my life!!!

So raw. Jordan should expand the color schemes when it comes to “Retro” shoes. I don’t need numerous pairs of the same exact style. Jordan brand would flip at least a billion dollars if they put these on NikeID. I don’t know why they haven’t.
